🏆✨A Champion in the Making: Abdulfatah Oduwole Shines on the National Stage

Abdulfatah Oduwole, a proud student of Federal College of Education (Technical) Secondary School Akoka, currently in SS2D Technical, has reached an outstanding milestone that has brought honour to our entire school community.

He has been selected as one of the Top 10 Athletes in Nigeria Secondary School through the highly competitive MTN CHAMPS platform. The official unveiling, held on February 11, 2026, marked a defining moment in his athletic journey.

Chosen from exceptional young talents across all states of the federation, the top ten athletes have earned full sponsorship from MTN. In recognition of his excellence, Abdulfatah was presented with a prestigious Golden Ticket by the President of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), along with a four-year sponsorship package that places him on a pathway toward representing Nigeria at the Olympic Games.

Widely known within our school for his dominance in the 100m and 200m sprints, Abdulfatah has consistently demonstrated discipline, resilience, and excellence on the track. His national recognition is a true reflection of his hard work and determination.

We are immensely proud of this remarkable achievement and celebrate the bright future that lies ahead for him.

The Federal College of Education (Technical) Secondary School, Akoka witnessed a moment of pride and inspiration today as our distinguished alumnus, Clinton Mekwunye, paid a visit to his alma mater.

, who recently emerged as the *Overall Best Graduating Student of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Lagos,* was received with a *heroic welcome* by students and staff, reflecting the admiration for his outstanding academic success.
