*ONDO STATE WINS 8 MEDALS AT LAGOS ARM WRESTLING OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP*

Team Ondo Wins a total number of 1Gold,5Sliver and 2bronze medals to placed 11 positions at the just concluded Lagos Arm wrestling open championship.

Coach Olasunkanmi Adesida tutored side delivered an outstanding performance despite losing key athletes to broke arm injury during the championship.

The Lagos open championship is a qualifier to the all African championship in Ghana and also for All African games in Egypt,2027.

Coach Adesunkanmi Adesida in his speech said he was not really happy with the medals won by his athletes just as he lays emphasis on the serious injury to 2 of his key athletes which really affected the overall performance of the team as they would have given the state gold medals.

While expressing his frustration over the injured athlete,he also gives kudos to the state athlete who fought hard to win medals for the state at the championship despite all difficulties encountered at the games.

With 8 medals won at the open championship it highlights the high level of the team's consistency,endurance and hard work.

At the end of the open championship Ondo State placed 11th position out of 36 States including the Federal capital territory,Abuja.

With this feat, all eyes now shift to the National sports festival to be hosted later this year by Enugu State as all eyes will be on the Ondo State arm wrestling team to win more Laurels for Ondo State.
