Drama at the Airport: Businessman IVD Arrested While Traveling to Qatar With Blessing CEO as Late Wife Bimbo’s Case Comes Up Again

Popular car dealer and social media figure, IVD (Ikechukwu Ogbonna), was arrested on Friday, August 1, 2025, at the airport—just before boarding a flight to Qatar with his fiancée, Blessing CEO.

The trip had been planned and announced for weeks. It was part of a group vacation organized by Blessing CEO, who had been promoting it online and inviting fans to join them.

Even though the trip was public, security officials picked IVD up at the airport unexpectedly. Sources say his arrest is linked to the ongoing court case over the death of his late wife, Bimbo. The case involves allegations of domestic violence, and it’s reported that IVD is not allowed to leave Nigeria until the case is settled.

He is now in custody and is expected to appear in court on Monday, August 4.

People close to the couple say Blessing CEO was shocked by the arrest and has been making calls to find out what happened and how to support IVD.

What was supposed to be a fun vacation has now turned into serious legal drama. The big question is: will IVD be released soon or is this just the beginning of bigger trouble?
