The Ondo State Government has begun clearing waterways in the Oke-Iya Community, located in the Ijoka area of Akure South Local Government, as part of ongoing efforts to prevent and control flooding.

Residents of the community have long been affected by flooding due to blocked waterways.

Joy Pius reports that the community members are expressing gratitude for the government's timely intervention.

James Howells IT worker from South Wales, during office cleanup accidentally discarded his hard drive containing private keys to 8,000 Bitcoins in 2013.

In 2013, his 8,000 Bitcoins were worth approximately $8M.

Today, the Bitcoin Asset is valued at $742M.

A household error rapidly evolved into a financial catastrophe as Bitcoin’s value skyrocketed over subsequent years.

The discarded hard drive remains buried beneath thousands of tons of garbage in a Newport Landfill.
