*Many marriages are just for sleeping and waking up, raising kids and ageing together till death comes. This is not right. Marriage must be enjoyable and romantic.*

_*1). Many couples hardly kiss and they only hug each other when they receive good news.*_

*_2). The husband only puts food in his wife's mouth only when she is terminally ill and can't feed herself and vice versa.*_

*_3). If you see a man opening car door for his wife means the door is faulty.*_

*_4). The only thing that makes an african man touch his wife's neck is when she complains of fever. He wont touch it again till the next fever.*_

*_5). The only time he can carry his wife on his arms is when she is in labour.*_

*_6). If you see them seated outside at night, don't think they are romantic. They are only waiting for the smell of insecticide to vanish.*_

*_7). Many wives buy gifts for their husbands only when they are hospitalized.*_
_*The only time they race together is when there is danger and everyone is running.*_

*_9). The only time they go for evening stroll is when they want to go and lay a complain to the parents of the person that beat their child.*_

*_10). The only time they bath together is when both are late for work.*_

*_11). The only time a wife looks closely to her husband's eyes is when he complains of dirt in his eyes.*_

*Unfortunately, Africans feel that any romantic man is being controlled by his wife. They will begin to spread bad rumours. Let us just change today for the better. Let us learn to love one another and enjoy the few days we have on earth together!*

*THIS GOES TO ALL MARRIED COUPLES.*

_*THE FAMILY MEETING*_

*My mother did something astonishing and unexpected. She sent us a message for an urgent family meeting at the family house.*

_Four of us gathered there, but surprisingly, Mama didn't welcome us with her usual warmth. Though she responded to our greetings, we could all sense the coldness in her voice._

*Even my father was surprised to see all his sons, and he questioned Mama about the reason for the meeting. However, she told him to wait patiently and find out why.*

_Mama thanked us for leaving our busy schedules to respond to her call._ *"But I want you all to know that I am not a happy woman. You have all offended me. Anyone who offends my husband offends me."*

_My father tried to say something, but Mama communicated with him through her eyes, and he just smiled without speaking._

*"I don't know about my other siblings, but I know I haven't offended you or Papa in any way,"* _my elder brother said._

*"Really?"* _Mama responded._

*"I'm sure, Mama."*

_The rest of us also reassured her in the same way. She sighed and then smiled sadly._

*"When was your father's birthday?"* _she asked._

*We all looked at each other with guilt on our faces.*

_"Yesterday!"_ *I said.*

_"If I can remember correctly, not a single call or SMS came from any of you to him. But you wouldn't forget mine."_

_"If it were my birthday, you would have posted it on your social media handles, including your wives. I would have received calls from all of you, and my account would be overflowing."_

*"I have watched this for years, and I won't allow it to continue,"* _she said._

*My father shifted in his chair, clearly surprised by the reason Mama called for the meeting.*

_"Is there any month you fail to send me money? But how many of you remember to do the same for my husband, or is he not your father?"_

*"Even when I am not asking, you send me money. What about my husband"?*

_"How can you show care and love for me and look at my husband as a stranger"?_

*"In fact, stop sending me anything! You have your father's phone number, yet when you call me, you say,* _'Send our regards to our father.'_ *What nonsense!*

_We became uncomfortable because she was speaking the truth. I remembered how we celebrated her birthday. In fact, I personally invited a saxophonist to play for her._

*"Who do you think paid your school fees? Are you all not graduates"?*

_"Who paid the rent before we moved into our own home"?_

*"My husband ensured that food was always on the table".*

_"Should I mention the other bills he handled? I supported him in the way I could"._

*"He was always busy making money, and when he was home, he took you out and was part of your lives. You think he didn't try? You think he doesn't deserve your love and attention"?*

_"Oh! You think it's only_ *the mother* _that deserves to be pampered, and your dad should be treated like trash?_ *No way! Not my husband."*

_Mama wiped away the tears that escaped her eyes._

*"So you planned to celebrate my husband in death, buying many cows to make people believe that when he was alive, you all cared.*

_Thank God you are all men with children who are growing. Whatever you sow is definitely what you will reap._ *You think my husband doesn't cry?* _He doesn't feel pain?_ *Of course, you wouldn't know."*

_Mama stared intently at all of us before wiping away another tear that slipped down her cheek._

*"I'm not going to be among the group of women who make their husbands irrelevant before their children, who tell their children lies about their father, making it seem as if the man didn't play any significant role in the lives of the children".*

_"I know there are men who are bad and irresponsible. I'm not talking about such ones."_

*"No role played by a father is small, and I won't allow you to take my husband for granted.* _This man here is a lion,_ *my crown,* _the king of my heart,_ *and at 75, he still makes my heart flutter and race.* _None of you will trample on him,"_ *she said, raising her voice.*

_While we were still speechless and trying to absorb all she had said, she stood up abruptly and went to her room. She soon returned with my father's car key and her purse and took my father's hand._

*"Let's go,"* _she said without my father objecting. He just stood up and followed her._

*"To where?"* _my siblings asked in unison._

*"I'm taking my husband on a date to celebrate his birthday."*

_"But Mama..."_

*She silenced us with her eyes. It was obvious she wasn't giving us an opportunity to say anything.*

_"Lock the door and gate and take the key along with you,"_ *she instructed my elder brother.* _"I have a spare key."_

*They entered the car, and Mum drove off. We, the children, had our own meeting and agreed that we had made a mistake.*

_We knew we were not returning to our own homes without settling things with our mother. We called our wives and told them we might sleep over at our parents' home because we didn't know when they will return._

*It was almost 7:30 pm when Mama drove into the compound. She wasn't surprised that we were still around, but Dad was.*

_One by one, we apologized to our parents and promised to change._

*Mama went to her bedroom and returned with a bible. She opened the book of* _Ephesians_ *and read chapter* _6:2_ *which says 'Honour your father and mother,' which is the first commandment with a promise.*

_"The Bible doesn't say honour only your mother and forget your father. Beautifully, this commandment comes with a promise. In verse 3, it says, 'that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth."_

*Mama took her time to expand on this Bible verse, opening our eyes to what we had never known. At the end, she asked Papa to pray for us. He was so excited that he prayed a heartfelt prayer.*

_We couldn't return home but chatted late into the night. I must mention that Mama prepared us a sumptuous meal._

*Dear reader, Don't wait until Father's Day or Papa's birthday to celebrate him. Pick up your phone and give him a call. Don't forget him in your life.*

_Wives celebrate your husbands. Don't join those women to incite their children to hate their fathers. Don't turn your children against your husband._

*Family relationships are precious and should be nurtured and celebrated continuously. Don't wait for a special occasion to show your love and gratitude to your parents; do it every day.

*COVER THEM UP INSTEAD OF EXPOSiNG THEM*

After I had cleaned and tidied up my house, my brother phoned me and said, "My wife and I are coming to visit you."

I went to my kitchen to prepare something for them, but I could not find anything available to serve them.

After much thought and search, all I could lay my hands on were a few oranges. Therefore, I made two cups of cold juice immediately.

When my brother and his wife arrived I was shocked to see his mother in-law with them, who came to visit us for the first time.

So I served the two cups of juice to his wife and her mother, and I placed a cup of water in front of my brother, saying, 'I know that you like 7Up.
*(WiSDOM)*

He drank a sip and realized that it was water.

And suddenly his mother in-law said, I am feeling tasty for *7Up.* Please give it to me!

Here I was, baffled and caught up with embarrassment. *(FEAR)*

But my brother saved me by saying to her, 'I will bring you a clean glass from the kitchen.
*(WiSDOM)*

After a while we heard the sound of a glass breaking in the kitchen. He then came back and told his mother in-law, 'Sorry, it fell from my hands and the glass got broken. But no problem, I will go to the shop to get another one.
*(UNDERSTANDiNG)*

His mother in-law refused and said, "There is no need for that. It was not meant for me anyway.
*(UNDERSTANDiNG)*

Eventually when they were going, my brother bid me farewell and placed some money into my hand and said, "Don't forget to clean the kitchen of the 7Up so that ants do not come." And he bid me farewell with a smile and love.
*(PROTECTiON)*

In this way, my brother considered my feelings and concealed my shortcoming.

Good Morning 😃🌞☀️

Sometimes your husband may come back home, late and give you one reason you cannot find in any book.

Let love and trust prevail.

Imagine Jonah coming back after 3 days of absence, no phone call, no messages, nothing, only to tell his wife he was swallowed by a fish and vomited after 3 days 😎😱🤷🏻‍♂️

Just imagine how that sounded.

The wife will feel like breaking his head. ⛏⛏

"Swallowed by fish, really?

Are you talking to a baby?
What an insult, lying to me as if I don't have any brains?

Which fish, mackerel or tilapia"?

Even if Jonah reported the issue to a pastor, the pastor will call him aside and say brother Jonah, why not pray against lying spirits.😊

Neighbours will shout "ahh madam, you don't understand, the fish is another woman".

But between you and I, Jonah told the truth

To Every Wife and Husband out there...TRUST IS KEY / POWERFUL!💪🏽👍

It is a necessary tool for sustaining all relationships.

Have a trustful life.

Cheers... Happy glorious Sunday

*RESPECT*

*1. A man who was fond of beating his wife at every slight opportunity was asked why he beats her.*
*His response: "I have a very short temper and I get angry easily.* *Unconsciously, I usually slap her when she raises her voice or provokes me."*

*2. The following day, as the man was driving to work, a uniformed army officer stopped his car, for no reason. When he tried to complain or protest, the FEMALE soldier shouted on him and asked him to be quiet.*
*The female officer collected his car keys and commanded him to sit on the bare floor*.
*Uncle gently complied, without saying a word*.

*3. The female officer tried hard to provoke him but uncle controlled his short temper. Suddenly, uncle became meek and cool like cucumber.*😁

*4. After one hour of delay, the officer told uncle to stand up, gave him his keys and asked him to leave.* *Uncle said "thank you Ma" and got into his car.*

*5. As he was about to drive off, his phone rang. It was Pius, his best friend. Pius had been watching the drama from across the street.*

*Pius mocked him on the phone: "Fidelis, I thought you said you have anger problems and your temper is very short? How come you were very gentle/quiet when the female officer shouted at you and seriously provoked you?*
*Why didn't you slap her like you usually do to Catherine, your wife?*

*6. Fidelis, let me tell you the truth, you don't have anger problem, what you have is RESPECT PROBLEM*.
*You don't respect your wife!!!.*

*7. Where there is RESPECT, SELF-CONTROL is AUTOMATIC!!!*

*The remote control is not in your wife's voice or emotions.* *The CONTROL is in your own WILL, your personal DECISION.*

*8. Your Relationship will become better, only when you learn to respect your Spouse.*

*The keyword here is, RESPECT. . . . . Say No To Domestic Violence!*
*Woman Respect Your Man*
*Man Respect Your Woman*

*POPE FRANCIS RETIREMENT SPEECH THAT SHOCKS THE WORLD*…

Please look at the speech that was read yesterday at retirement by the *_Pope Francis_*…

*Regardless of Religion*, see how *Pope Francis* has beautifully written about the family...

*FAMILY, PLACE OF FORGIVENESS* ...

©️ There is *no perfect family*…

©️ We do *not have perfect parents*,
- you are *not perfect yourself*…
We do *not marry a perfect person* or we do *not have perfect children*…

©️ We *have complaints from each other*. We can *not LIVE together without offending one another*…

©️ We *are constantly disappointed*. Yes *for so many reasons at different times* we *are disappointed by one another*…

©️ There is *no healthy marriage or healthy family without the exercise of forgiveness*…

*FORGIVENESS* is the *medicine* of *family joy* and *happiness*…

©️ *FORGIVENESS* is *vital* to our *emotional health* and *spiritual survival*. *No matter the offence* or *who is the offender*. Without *FORGIVENESS*, the family becomes *an arena of conflict* and *a fortress of evil*…

©️ Without *FORGIVENESS*, the family becomes *sick* and *unhealthy*…

©️ *FORGIVENESS* is the *asepsis* of the *SOUL*, the *purification* of the *SPIRIT* and the *liberation* of the *HEART*. *No SIN* is too big to be *FORGIVEN*…

He who does *not forgive* does *not have peace in his soul* and can *not have communion with God*…

©️ *UNFORGIVING* is *EVIL* and *a poison* that *intoxicates* and *kills* the one who refuses to *forgive*…

©️ *Keeping heartache* of *unforgiving* in your *heart* is *a self-destructive gesture*. It's *autophagy*…

©️ Those who do *not FORGIVE* are *physically, emotionally and spiritually ILL*. And they will *suffer in two ways*...

For this reason, the *FAMILY* must be a place of *LIFE* and *not* a place of *DEATH *; a place of *FORGIVENESS*, a place of *PARADISE* and *not* a place of *hell*; A *healing territory* and *not a disease*; *an *internship* of *FORGIVENESS* and *not guilt*...

*FORGIVENESS brings joy* where *sorrow has brought sadness*; of
*Healing* where *sorrow has caused disease*...

A *FAMILY* is a place of *support* and *not of gossip* and *slander of one another*. It must be *a place of welcome not a place of rejection*. *Shame to those who plant evil about others*.

We are *FAMILY* and *not enemies*…

When anyone is going through *a challenge* all they need *is support*

Did you know Okoya's family?

They are FABULOUSLY rich.

One of them is the CEO Eleganza group of companies.

There was a time Tinubu said if he went broke,
he would go and meet Abdulrazak Okoya. He would give him money.

There is another Thomas Okoya, he was also a billionaire in the same family before he died.

They are not rich because they are extraordinary, they are rich because they support one another.

Did you know Adeleke's family in Osun State? They are also FABULOUSLY wealthy.

Deji ADELEKE seems to be richer than everyone in the family despite the fact their late Daddy was a great politician.

Deji supported his siblings to the extent his blood brother contested for governorship election for the second time in Osun State. And he is presently the sitting governor of Osun state.

You can never see a broke person in the family.

What have you done to make your siblings better off?

The reason why you and my FAMILIES are yet to make it is because everyone is busy chasing his or her interest alone.

You will see eldest son that has opportunity and still refuse to assist those behind him.

If you don't learn how to PRIORITISE your family, you will continue to worship other people's family till eternity.

Place a call to your siblings TODAY and assist them if you have the capability.

Don't be too selfish.

Use your wealth to bring more wealth in your family.

*DON'T STOP BEING A HELPING HAND!*

He lived on me during our undergraduate days because his parents were poor.

My family didn't mind. In fact, he had the key to my room, he could come in any time like any child in my family.

He respected me so much, we were so close.

After our Youth Service, I travelled to America for further studies. My parents had the means.

Before long I settled in America, his letters started coming in, asking about life in America and telling me about the ever difficult life in Nigeria.

I told myself, it was better I severed relationship with this poor guy, before he will start asking me to bring him to America.

Haven't I done enough in his life? I asked myself.

Let him go and sort himself out.

I finally severed the relationship!

I didn't allow him to have access to me again.

Not long, I heard he had become the Personal Assistant (P.A. ) to a Medical Doctor. Good for him.

In no time the Medical Doctor became a Governor and sponsored him to the State House of Assembly.

He became Speaker, then he became Governor of the State.

While still struggling in America, it dawned on me that I had missed it. A friend God gave me to assist and yet I stopped. I severed the relationship.

We would have ruled the State together going by the respect he had for me.

A very true life story have I just shared with you.

*Who are you helping today?*

*He may be the one to help you tomorrow.*

You might be indirectly taking care of your tomorrow by helping him today.

*Remember, life is a seed!*

*Who is it that you are helping. Don't stop, don't malign the person.*

*Whatever the situation and circumstance of your family and friends, don't neglect them in times of need.*

*Even if you don't have money, you should have words that comfort them.*

Some people only need those words of encouragement to forge on in life.

Just be a blessing to everyone that crosses your path.
