The former Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, has called for improved funding and better welfare packages for frontline health workers in Nigeria.

Dr. Mimiko made the call while delivering a public lecture titled Conqueror, Conquered and Consequences, A Discourse on Brain Drain, held at the Dome, Akure.

The public lecture was organized by the Bode Olajumoke Education and Hospitality Initiative to commemorate the 81st birthday of Dr. Bode Olajumoke.
