A f’ọpe f’Ọlọrun
L’ọkàn ati ohun wa,
Eni s’ohùn ‘yanu,
Ninu Enit’araiye nyo;

Se ‘to ju wa sibe.

This was the song I sang recently, when I was called upon to say a prayer at a gathering. As I sang and some people smiled, my dad came to mind. My love for hymnals started as a child and that's because of my father, . He loves hymns and sang them to wake my siblings and I up for morning devotion. This is one his favorites BTW. Yesterday was my dad's birthday. He clocked 75! That's a big one. For someone who's had 3 stroke scares, it really is. And to top it all up, you won't even notice a thing if you see him because he's always so jovial. As a child, my dad encouraged my love for singing by inviting me to sing for his guests.

He's done a whole lot of other things, taught us a whole lot of other things, BTW, he taught us how to cook beans and trust me when I say you need to taste my brother's beans but above all, he taught us to be honest and intentional in whatever we do. He also taught to pray and in prayer, I say you shall live till older age. All your sacrifices for you children shall not be in vain. You shall live to enjoy the fruit of your labour on each and everyone of us in Jesus name.
