Mrs President
There's a video on the internet where madam first lady was excoriating the governor of Osun state, and threatening to shut down the microphone if he doesn't heed her instruction.
A sitting governor, in his own state.
What audacity!
Madam first lady was not elected, whatever visibility she enjoys is because of the office her husband occupies.
The constitution does not assign any role to madam first lady.
In fact, the constitution does not give her any office.
On the contrary, the governor was elected.
He is presiding over a state recognised by the country's constitution.
He was the host of that programme in his state.
If the President was there, he is there as a guest.
That is protocol.
But madam first lady went there and couldn't restrain herself from throwing her weight around.
But it's just the beginning.
You are dealing with people who have no boundaries, and have no capacity to draw the line.
It will grow worse, and the reason is simple and incontrovertible:
When someone is allowed to use power that no law bestows on them, they seek more of such powers until they become drunk on it and then bring society to anarchy.
It will get worse.
What gave madam first lady the right to write an invitation to a dinner to be read by the President of the Senate ON THE FLOOR OF THE SENATE?
Where did she get that power?
That is a breach of protocol, it is abuse of privilege as wife of the man sitting in office as Prescribed of the country.
It is both illegal and ammoral.
Now she has taken it higher.
Publicly reprimanding a governor in his state on how she thinks he should use his time on the podium.
The movie is just starting. It is in series.
I won't be surprised if tomorrow I read that madam first lady has summoned all Commissioners of Police to A*o Rock.
Tinubu has always presided with his family as a unit.
His daughter and son are also throwing their weights around.
You cannot have Tinubu as President and not have his wife as Mrs President.
You can't!
