Are you whole?

Whole means complete, healthy, complete
Whole means 1/2 +1/2 makes one (human definition)
God designed 1+1 makes one( wholeness)
"And a man shall leave his father and his mother and cleave to his wife and they twin shall become one
How do I know I am whole
1. Self awareness: until you know yourself before you can carry someone along..
2. Purpose driven (john 6:38): you must know who you are meant to be before you can work towards achieving your purpose. attached with your purpose is your pride, prosperity, satisfaction, respect. Etc. Your purpose is your work, until you are fulfilling your purpose you don't have a work, you only have a job.
No one can sack you from your work because its your person and part of you,But you can only be sacked from your job because its owned by another person.
3. Self control (Dan 1:8). Can you check yourself your body, your mind to do what you want and stay off what you don't want...

Topic: Faithful steward of God
Text : 1 pet 4:10-11
If you have ever been responsible for something be it a group, organisation etc then you are a steward
the word “steward” is rooted in the Greek word “oikonomos,” which means “the manager of a household."

Who is a steward?
a steward is someone who is charged with the responsibility of managing a certain thing on behalf of the owner. At no point should a steward take the place of the owner . a steward is only a caretaker on behalf of the owner.

Today we want to look at steward from a more personal angle. As everyone here is a steward one way or the other, i know this because God has deposited something in us which he expects us to take care of and also use them for his glory.(ROM 12:6), 1cor 12:7.28, the Bible call us children of light eph 5:7 that is light is a gift deposited in us with the commandment that we should shine before everyone (matt 5:16). Even salvation itself is a gift (eph 2:8)

Attributes of faithful stewards
Looking at jesus as the perfect example of a faithful steward

*Grateful- they don't see negativity, as a result they are always appreciative (john 14-41)
*Generous -they are givers, they understand the principle of sowing and reaping(Luke 18:22)
*Responsible : stewards have a high sense if responsibility, they don't need to be forced or cajole to do the needful Luke 2:49
*Prayerful -they know the essense of prayer, as a way of communicating to God Luke 11:1-4
*Loyal- they are not material driven, they know where they belong even when situation doesn't seem palatable, they still stick to God romans 8:35-39
*Committed- they are always ready to do the master's bidding no matter if it's convenient or not 1 cor 9:16
*Humble: they don't look down on others, they see all as equal not minding their qualification status or capability col 3:12
*Wise- they rely on Jesus Christ who is the wisdom of God and draw their wisdom from him prov 13:3
Patience and longsuffering- they are not easily tired or discouraged they are goal getters, they forge ahead till they achieve success rom 8:35-39
Loving - because of their knowledemge of God, they love unconditionally eph 4:2
Discipline- they know how to put their body in check for maximum performance before God Dan I:8

Duties of faithful steward

(1) acknowledges in mind and heart that God owns everything
(2) acts accordingly—that is, learns and implements God’s principles in will aging the money and material things that God has entrusted to him or her
(3) utilizes these resources in accordance with God’s will, not one’s own will

Benefits of faithful stewards(matt 25:14-30)
Others include
Answered prayer
Peace of mind
Eternal life good success (josh 1:8)
Good health and prosperity 3john 2

steward checklist

How much of my time do I set aside for God everyday?

What is my motivation for using my talent, gift offering my service? Recognition or reward

Do I think about God and my service to him first before making any decision

Have I used my God given talent for God or personal gain?

I'll conclude by saying as a steward of God, your only mission is pleasing the master with his best interest at heart. As Christian everything we do must reflect God and much be traceable to kingdom advancement, anything outside this is self centeredness. What do I mean? As minor as if your profession doesn't reflect on kingdom advancement then you are on the wrong path. Because we are created for his pleasure.

Shalom

LESSON of LIFE....
A little boy went to his old grandpa and asked,
"What's the value of life?"
The grandpa gave him one stone and said, "Find
out the value of this stone, but don't sell it." The
boy took the stone to an Orange Seller and asked
him what its cost would be.
The Orange Seller saw the shiny stone and said,
"You can take 12 oranges and give me the
stone." The boy apologized and said that the
grandpa has
asked him not to sell it.
He went ahead and found a vegetable seller.
"What could be the value of this stone?" he asked
the vegetable seller. The seller saw the shiny
stone and said, "Take one sack of potatoes and
give me the stone."
The boy again apologized and said he can't sell it.
Further ahead, he went
into a jewellery shop and asked the value of the
stone. The jeweler saw the stone under a lens and
said, "I'll give you 50 million for this stone." When
the boy
shook his head, the
jeweler said, "Alright,alright, take 2
gold necklace, but give me the stone."
The boy explained that he can't sell the stone.
Further ahead, the boy
saw a precious stone's
shop and asked the seller the value of this stone.
When the precious stone's
seller saw the big ruby, he lay down a red cloth
and put the ruby on it.
Then he walked in circles around the ruby and
bent down and touched his head in front of the
ruby.
"From where did you
bring this priceless ruby from?" he asked.
"Even if I sell the whole
world, and my life, I won't be able to purchase
this priceless stone. Stunned and confused, the
boy returned to the
grandpa and told him
what had happened.
"Now tell me what is the value of life, grandpa?"
Grandpa said, "The
answers you got from the Orange Seller, the
Vegetable Seller, the
Jeweler & the Precious
Stone's Seller explain the value of our life...
You may be a precious
stone, even priceless, but people will value you
based on their financial status, their level of
information, their belief in you, their motive
behind entertaining you,their
ambition, and their risk

In life, nothing goes for nothing, Until there is a
departure from certain things, there can never
be a discovery of great things. No one will
amount to something great until they are ready
to make certain sacrifices. To gain something
you must lose something

"Thinking will not overcome fear but action will."-- W.
Clement Stone
It's good to THINK but better to ACT. Any idea you think will
take your career or business to the next-level this January,
just ACT on it. Please don't allow yourself to suffer "analysis
paralysis". Just take action TODAY and kill that fear.
Remember, it's all learning experiences.

The Heart of Your Life
“Put your hands into your chest and feel hearts beat,” said
the preacher, “…so long as your heart is beating, there is
hope for a better life.” Everyone nodded in agreement but
four-year-old Margaret had an anxious look on her face.
“Margaret, why, is anything wrong?” asked the preacher, “I
don’t have a heart!” Said Margaret. “Impossible Margaret,
everyone has a heart,” insisted the preacher. Everyone burst
out in laughter. “But why is my heart not beating? Asked
Margaret who was wearing a heavy winter cardigan over her
dress. “Put your hand through your cardigan on to your left
breast,” her mother intervened. A beautiful smile shot
across Margaret’s face as she counted her pulse. Later
Margaret said to her uncle, “I had a heart all the time and I
did not know!”
Purpose is like a heart; until you search it out, you never
know you have one. “In the hearts of all mankind, of
whatever race or station in life, there are inexpressible
longings for something they do not now possess. This
longing is implanted in the very constitution of man by a
merciful God, that man may not be satisfied with his present
conditions or attainments, whether bad, or good, or better.
God desires that the human shall seek the best, and find it
to the eternal blessing of his soul.”
Can you feel your purpose beating in your life? There is
nothing more burdening than walking at an uncertain pace.
There is no race more difficult than chasing after the wind.
God wants you to discover a firm purpose in your life that is
why He has given you desires that won’t go away. It is these
desires that make every child want to grow, students look
forward to completion, young people look forward to
marriage and the married look forward to birth and so on.
This never ending journey finally comes to a fulfilment at
the feet of Jesus where you will discover your life’s purpose.

CONNECTED TO THE SPIRIT? – Sunday November 1st 2015
CONNECTED TO THE SPIRIT?
Memorise: I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
John 15:4-7
Read: John 15:4-7, 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Bible in one year: Deuteronomy 16:9-18:22, Philippians 1
MESSAGE!
After Moses experienced the wonders of God in multiple dimensions at the Red Sea, he wrote a song to express his awe of the God of wonders. Here is an excerpt of this song from Exodus 15:11
“Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?”. From these words, we understand that signs and wonders come under the purview of God. They are God’s acts, and they are part of His ministry. Sings
and wonders are produced by the power of God.
Any sign or wonder that is carried out by any other spirit or power is a fake; otherwise known as an act of magic. Today, magical acts are on the rise in
churches, because some leaders want to see the manifestation of signs and wonders at all costs, irrespective of their source. They make a pact with
the devil and begin to demonstrate his magical acts. In your local assembly, are you experiencing the signs and wonders of God or satanic magical acts? Anyone who will be used for signs and wonders must first be connected to the God of signs and
wonders. God has the power for genuine signs and wonders and He is ready to share it with His children who are willing to pay the price of consecration. Elijah declared in 1st Kings 17:1b thus:
“As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.”
He was saying that he was who he was because of his connection to the miracle-working God, specifically God the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is
the powerhouse of the Godhead. Because Elisha had this understanding, he never asked for the anointing; rather, he asked for a double portion of
the Spirit at work in his master (2nd Kings 2:9). He knew that the Holy Spirit was behind the anointing, power, signs and miracles that were evident in
Elijah’s ministry. It is strange to know that some people want the anointing today, but they do not take time to develop their intimacy with the Holy
Spirit. Some want power but do not care about the spirit it is coming from. Be very careful! Take note of the fact that it was after the oil touched David’s head and the Holy Spirit came upon him that he could kill a bear and lion with his bare hands. It was after this also that his ordinary stones could bring down Goliath the giant. Get connected to the Holy Spirit today.
Prayer Point
Father, grant me grace that my link with Your Holy Spirit may never be broken.

Put a frog into a vessel of water and start heating the water.
As the temperature of the water begins to rise, the frog
adjust its body temperature accordingly.
The frog keeps adjusting its body temperature with the
increasing temperature of the water.
Just when the water is about to reach boiling point, the frog
cannot adjust anymore.
At this point the frog decides to jump out.
The frog tries to jump but it is unable to do so because it has
lost all its strenght in adjusting with the rising water
temperature.
Very soon the frog dies.
What killed the frog?
Think about it.
I know many of us will say is the boiling water.
But the truth about what killed the frog was it's own inability
to decide when to jump out......
We all need to adjust with people & situations, but we need
to be sure when we have to adjust & when we need to move
on.
There are times when we need to face the situation and take
appropriate actions.....
If we allow people to exploit us physically, emotionhally,
financially or mentally they will continue to do so.
Let us decide when to jump,
Let's jump while we still have the strength and not when are
are tired-out. Gud evening frnds. Hop ur day was gud?

F A M I L Y
I banged into a stranger as he passed by,
'Oh excuse me please' was my response.'
He said, 'Please excuse me too;
I couldn't see you coming.'
We were very polite, this stranger and I.
We said goodbye and went on our way .
But at home a different story unfolds,
How we treat our loved ones, young and old.
Later that day, cooking the evening meal,
My son stood beside me very still.
When I turned, I nearly knocked him down.
'Move out of the way,' I said with a frown., a little harshly.
He walked away, his little heart broken.
I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.
While I lay resting in bed,
God's small voice came to me and said,
'While dealing with a stranger,
common courtesy you use,
but the family you love, you seem to abuse.
Go and look on the kitchen floor, You'll find some flowers
there by the door.
Those are the flowers he brought for you.
He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue.
He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise, you never
saw the tears that filled his little eyes.'
By this time, I felt very small,
And now my tears began to fall.
I quietly went and knelt by his bed; Wake up, little one, wake
up,' I said.
Are these the flowers you picked for me?'
He smiled, 'I found them, out by the tree.. I picked them
because they're pretty like you.
I knew you'd like them, especially the blue.'
I said, 'Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today;
I shouldn't have yelled at you that way.'
He said, 'Oh, Mom, that's okay.
I love you anyway.'
I said, 'Son, I love you too, and I do like the flowers,
especially the blue.'
FAMILY
Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company that
we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of
days.
But the family we left behind will feel the loss for the rest of
their lives.
And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work
than into our own family, an unwise investment indeed,
don't you think?
So what is the lesson behind the story?
Do you know what the word FAMILY means?
FAMILY = (F)ATHER (A)ND (M)OTHER (I) (L)OVE (Y)OU

Let’s Not Jump To Conclusion Too Quickly
“My boss drove a luxury car everyday and it was my duty to
greet him and to open the gates for him, as I worked as a
watchman in his villa. But he never responded back to my
greetings.
One day he saw me opening the garbage bags outside the
villa in search for any leftover food. But, as usual he never
even looked at me, it was like as if he never saw anything!
The very next day I saw a paper bag at the same place, but it
was clean and the food inside was covered well. It was fresh
and good food like someone had just brought it from the
supermarket. I didn't bother as to where it came from, I just
took the paper bag and I was so happy about it.
Every day I found this paper bag at the same place with
fresh vegetables and all that we needed for home. This
became my daily routine. I was eating and sharing this food
with my wife and kids. I was wondering who this fool could
be?! To forget his paper bag full of fresh food everyday.
One day there was a big problem in the villa and I was told
that my boss has died. There were too many guests coming
to the villa that day and I didn't get any food that day, so I
thought that one of the guests must have taken it. But the
same thing happened the 2nd day, the 3rd day and the 4th
day.
It went on like this for a few weeks and I found it difficult to
provide food for my family, so I decided to ask the wife of
my boss for a raise in my salary or else I would quit my job
as a watchman.
After I told her, she was shocked, and asked me, how come
you never complained about your salary for the last 2 years?
And why is this salary not enough for you now? I gave her so
many excuses but she was never convinced!
Finally in the end, I decided to tell her the truth, I told her
the entire story of the bag of groceries, and as to how it was
my daily provision. She then asked me as to when this
stopped? I told her after the death of her husband. And then
I realized that I stopped seeing the paper bag immediately
after the death of my boss.
Why didn't I ever think of this before? That it was my boss
who was providing this for me? I guess it was because I
never thought that a person who never replied to my
greetings could ever be this generous!
His wife started to cry and I told her to please stop crying
and that I'm really sorry that I asked for a raise, I didn't
know that it was your husband who was providing me with
the meals, I’ll remain as a watchman and be happy to
provide my service.
His wife told me, I'm crying because I've finally found the 7th
person my husband was giving this bag full of food. I knew
my husband was giving 7 people everyday, I had already
found the 6 people, and all these days I was searching for
the 7th person. And today I found out.
From that day onwards, I started to receive the bag full of
food again, but this time his son was bringing it to my house
and giving it to my hand. But whenever I thanked him, he
never replied! Just like his dad!
One day, I told him THANK YOU in a very loud voice! He
replied back to me to please not be offended when he
doesn't reply, because he has a hearing problem, just like
his dad!”
Oh! We have been wrong so many times judging others
without knowing the true story behind their actions. Be kind
and courteous in dealing with others, for everyone is fighting
a hard battle. Be careful, not everything is about you. Before
you assume, there is this thing called ASKING.
Don’t just jump to conclusion, because that is truly not an
exercise, it may cause you more harm at the end of the day.
Many of our problems are caused by how we process what
happens around us. Don’t judge a situation you have never
been in. Be humble enough to learn. You do not know it all.
Lets change the way we feel about ourselves and others.
There are two sides to a story. Don’t believe everything you hear.
Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.

Touching Story. About three phones have gone missing in
our room in the past five months. When we reported to the
School's security, they only told us that it was a roommate
that is responsible. Everyone of us in the room was waiting
for the day we will catch the culprit.
Last Tuesday, when we were all asleep; I think it was about 2
am, Ben woke up suddenly and his phone was gone. His
phone was the most expensive of us all. When Ben woke up
and couldn't find his phone, he sprang up from the bed and
quickly opened his cupboard. He rummaged the contents,
even removed his clothes but could still not find the phone.
I was in the room when it happened; sitting and reading
before I dozed off with my heading resting on my books. So
when Ben couldn't find his phone, he gently shook my
shoulders until I woke up. 'It has happened again', he told
me.
I didn't even need to ask what happened as I could see the
panic and loss written in his eyes.
This is the second time his phone had been stolen. So I took
my phone and dialed Ben's number; just to be sure it had
not been misplaced. 'Error in Connection' was what I saw on
the screen of my phone. I dialed it again and it started
ringing not just on my phone, but the actual ring tone of
Ben's Samsung phone was faintly audible.
We were both surprised when we heard the tone. I
beckoned on Ben to keep quiet as he was visibly ready to
'finish' the person who took his phone. I continued dialing as
we moved silently, following the direction of the ring tone.
There were four bunks in the room, each with two bed
spaces. Ben and I use the same bunk just beside the door
and the sound was coming from the last bunk at the
extreme left corner.
We tiptoed, Ben and I, like Jack Baeur until we traced the
sound to the top bed space on the last bunk. 'So it is John
who had been stealing phones in this room'. Ben whispered
to me.
We shook his leg and woke him up only to find out it was not
John sleeping on the mattress. Neither of us had ever seen
the guy before. To make matters worse, the ringing was
coming
from the bag he was using as pillow.
When he woke up, he looked at us strangely as if he didn't
know why we were there.
We opened the bag and found not just Ben's
Samsung, but three other phones. 'So, you are the one who's
been stealing our phones!'; Ben shouted at him.
Before he could find an excuse, Ben slapped him on his left
cheek and walked out looking for anything to break one or
two of the guy's bones. I don't know; but there was
something about the guy. So I asked him, 'Oga, what are you
doing here?' 'What are you doing with Ben's phone'. He was
just looking at me without saying anything, so I slapped his
right cheek with my left hand.
'ANSWER ME!', I screamed at him; waking up the roommates
who were around. John had obviously gone to night class to
read and I assumed the other three roommates who were
absent had also gone to read.
The two guys remaining in the room with me and Ben came
and gave their own round of slaps. The accused was now
staggering when Ben came back with a long wood hard
enough to kill the guy. As he raised it up, the three of us, the
roommates, held his hands so he wouldn't murder the
accused. Ben dropped the wood and swept his right leg
against the thief's legs and he fell down. Ben had told me
before that he had attended the Soldiers' recruitment
training but failed the medical test. I believed him right then.
I looked at the guy crumple on the floor and before Ben
killed him, I decided to interview him, at least to know who
he is. He was now sitting on the ground where he landed
from Ben's force. 'Who are you?' I asked him again; this time
gently. He was crying but it was only the tears that were
coming out. It was then I realized he had not even uttered a
word since it all started. Not even when he fell to the
ground. 'Why are you in our room'? I asked again. 'Can you
even talk?' He shook his head then. I was now confused. Why
was he shaking his head?
So, I asked again, 'Can't you talk?' He shook his head again.
'Wait, is it that this guy is dumb?', I asked the guys.
The guy then nodded his head and pointed to his mouth and
then shook his head left to right. It hit me then. The guy is
dumb but not deaf. That was the first time I am seeing a
case like that.
My anger changed to pity immediately. 'Are you dumb?', I
ashamedly asked the guy to confirm. Again, he nodded his
head.
'Can you read and write?' He nodded again. 'Get me a pen
and note!' I said to my roommates over my shoulder. I
collected the pen and wrote on the note, 'Who are you?
Explain yourself.' I was almost in tears as I read his fine
handwriting, 'My name is James, I am John's elder brother. I
am a student of Delta State University. I was traveling to
Delta but our bus stopped for the night at Benin. So I
decided to sleep with my brother till tomorrow morning. He
brought me here around 12 am and went out to night class
to read. He gave me the bag to keep for him. So I decided to
use it as pillow so that it won't be stolen'.
I held the note with the guys at my back as all of us read it. I
became so weak I almost fell. 'The guy is innocent.' I
needlessly announced.
When we realized this, even I was ashamed of myself.
Ben just stood there with the wood he almost used to hit
him, looking as if he was the one who had been beaten. I am
not sure, but I think I saw tears in his eyes as he realized he
had just punished an innocent man.
So we knelt down; Ben and I, we knelt down and clasped our
hands so he will know we were really sorry. With tears in our
eyes, we told him, 'We are sorry. Sorry for accusing you
wrongly and beating you for it'. The dumb guy just smiled
with bleeding lips from the blow I gave him. He smiled and
looked into our eyes. And I could see pity in his eyes. He
smiled and shook his head and then wrote in the same
paper. 'It is Alright. I took the pain willingly. Please don't
beat my brother anymore. I knew why you were beating me.
John had always been a thief, right from home. But please
don't report or beat him again'.
Tears dropped from my eyes as I read his sacrifice. He
deliberately allowed us beat him just so that John will be
free. I lend my hand and raised him up as I used my cloth to
wipe the tears from his face and blood from his lips. It was
then my own tears flowed from the corners of my eyes..
this is what Jesus did for us on the cross of calvary. kept
quiet and even died so that we can be saved. He never
protested his innocence but bore it all for us. He gave his life
for you. What have you given for him? By by
Return the life to Him, He's in Love with u......TGIF
it's high time we won more souls for Christ..
