What you are about to read will shock you 😲😲😲.

We only have few fashion schools in Nigeria, i hope you know that?

1. Fashion School
means formal and structured education.
They have more organized curriculum and long study period (year or even years)
Often registered with government or education bodies ( e shock you abi )

Issue certificates, diplomas, or degrees
Includes theory + practicals (pattern drafting, textiles, fashion history, business, etc.)

2. Fashion Academy
Focus more on skills and flexible training.

Offer short courses and focus more on practical not theory ( Emphasis on practical) Unlike fashion school that focuses more on theory

Fashion Academy is more modern and creative as many people are more interested in short courses of 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and even shorter periods for crash courses.

Fashion Academies also issues certificates. Certificate from fashion school is different from that of a fashion Academy.

With my explanations, you all will agree with me that every individual you see here runs a fashion Academy. This means we offer more practicals than theory .

If i tell you i don't take notes to class, that's because we show sewing and designing process in class more than theory. And my head an carry the theories.
Do you expect an experienced tutor to carry notes to class and be using it to teach sewing process? No

During our orientation, we do more of theory, from introduction to fashion designing to principles of fashion designing. We do that as a discussion, students open their notes ( because we always give them a copy ) they read out each points while we explain in details
