Police In Anambra Arrests Woman Who Specializes In Defrauding Single Women With Promises Of Marriage To Her Brother Oversea

Anambra State Police Command on 20/2/2023 have in custody one Mrs Akunna Roseline Udom aged 35 years on an alleged case of conspiracy, advance fee fraud and stealing, reported to the Command for investigation.

Mrs Roseline is a member of a notorious gang of 3-man, who specialise in defrauding members of the public. While some of her syndicate members are still at large, she confessed that her victims are mainly single young ladies, who work in cooperate offices like banks, civil service and sales girls, assuring them that her brother who is based overseas is looking for a wife. She also tells her victims that she possesses the spiritual power of cleansing their afflictions and is capable of doubling any amount given to her by the victim. Mrs Rose a mother of five children, joined the gang early last year and since then has defrauded more than five young ladies of a total sum of Nine million and more.

The Command, therefore, wishes to use this medium to advise members of the public especially teeming youth to avoid getting rich quick strategy but rather engage in a legitimate business that will, in turn, bring better profits and growth in their lives. Also to be cautious about how they allow strangers into our personal lives

The case shall be charged to court on the conclusion of the investigation

THE UNTOLD STORY OF HOW AND WHY FELA KUTI MARRIED 27 WOMEN ON THE SAME DAY IN 1978 (A must read)

In 1978, the pioneer of Afrobeats, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, married 27 women in one day. This should not be strange to those who know the life and style of the Nigerian music legend nicknamed Abami Eda (strange creature).

Many of Fela’s band members became homeless after the devastating soldier attack on Fela’s commune (Kalakuta Republic) in 1977. In order to keep them together, Fela decided to do the unusual.

He gave a piece of paper to his female band members requesting the names of those that would like to marry him; the entire twenty-seven female band members put down their names.

After getting their consent, Fela Kuti married the 27 women on the 20th of February, 1978, at the Parisona Hotel in Anthony, Lagos, with the blessings of twelve Ifa priests. It was alleged that some parents of the ladies objected the marriage.

Fela married the women to protect and keep them together. The marriage ceremony was attended by Fela’s families, friends and other band members.

During the marriage ceremony, Fela rendered a short speech, pressed naira notes on his new wives’ foreheads and gave them marriage certificates. Fela embraced a rotation system of 12 wives at a time. After the marriage, Fela took his 27 wives to Ghana for honeymoon.

However, in 1986, shortly after his release from prison, Fela Kuti divorced his 27 wives on the claim that marriage brings jealousy. It should be noted that they were not forced to leave his house after the divorce; some lived with him till his death in 1997.

NYCN Anambra State Chairman endorses Peter Obi for President

The State Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria Anambra State Chapter His Youthfulness Surv. Emeka Obi endorses Peter Obi for President this evening and quotes him as the rightful leader for the Youths and the nation at large.

The State chairman expressed this on his media handle by appreciating the former President Olusegun Obasanjo, various group leaders and associations that has endorsed Peter Obi's presidency before now.

According to him, "although, you may have been inclined to certain interests, I believe now is the time to disengage and refocus on our collective future, the future of the Nigerian youth and the unborn generation."

Speaking further, "Destinies are shaped by men who stand up to confront their fears; to take the bull by the horn and challenge the status quo, irrespective of the fact that they may be in the minority. As it is said, evil persists when good men keep silent."

The Youth Chairman in his letter enjoined the youth of Anambra State to embrace the right choice and make wise decision for their future sake.

Labour Party

Labour party was formed in 2002. From 2002 to 2022 is 20 years.

For 20 good years, how many of you knew about the party?

For 20 good years, how many of us knew anything about papa, mama, and pikin?

Maybe only those in Ondo state from whom Olusegun Mimiko in 2012 contested and won the gubernatorial election under the Labour party.

Who would have thought that a largely unknown party will give two "big" and popular parties sleepless nights?

The coming of Peter Obi to the Labour Party has changed the party forever.

Take note of this, it is not a parasitic relationship. Peter needs the party, the party needs Peter.

If that big helper you have been praying for finally meets you today, will it be a parasitic relationship?

Sometimes, in fact, all the times, that helper you have been praying for, will be needing your help too. If he or she noticed that the help is just one-sided, that help won't really last.

In this life ehn, I can tell you this from experience, all that is needed is TIME and CONSISTENCY on the right path.

As you keep doing your thing on the right path and it seems you are largely unknown, my prayer for you is that something big like Peter Obi will come into your life or business and change it forever. Amen!
