OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Notice is hereby given that the Financial Secretary(Bashir Yusuf), Sales Director(Comr. Aliyu Ismail), and Treasurer( Comr. Salim Aminu)of SUG have been impeached and removed from their positions, effective immediately. The grounds for this action are:

1. Negligence of duty
2. Sale of forged SUG receipts
3. Forgery of the SRA stamp used to authenticate receipts

As a result, the aforementioned individuals are permanently barred from holding any office or contesting for positions within the Union or University.

A new Student Digital Media and Information Committee (SDMIC) of the SRA has been established at Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero (KSUSTA). Chaired by Rt. Hon. Zaharadden Shehu, the committee's purpose is to manage the university's student social media presence, regulate digital content, ensure responsible information sharing, and create engaging content for students. Their duties include managing official accounts, developing sharing guidelines, monitoring comments, ensuring data compliance, and collaborating on student initiatives.

*NOTICE OF SUSPENSION*

The Auditor General of the Student Union Government (SUG) is hereby suspended for a period of one month starting today February 20,2025, pending further review. This suspension is subject to extension or reduction, as deemed necessary.

The Student Representative Assembly (SRA) had requested financial records and duplicates receipt from the Auditor General, but unfortunately, he has refused to submit duplicate receipts. Furthermore, he has incorrectly claimed that the SRA lacks the authority to request these documents, which is a clear violation of Article 5 of the SUG Constitution.

we are committed to serving the student body and upholding the highest standards of accountability. Therefore, we have taken this necessary step to prevent any individual from hindering the audit of SUG's financial records.

We remain dedicated to ensuring the integrity and transparency of our financial operations and will continue to take all necessary measures to achieve this goal.
