"I think I'm the most well-known person on the planet right now; everyone is familiar with me. Every nation on the planet has a statue of me." ___ Mental Notes
"Since I initiated the "Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo Challenge," which went viral, I've been experiencing superstar status. Everyone is simply taking on the challenge, and I couldn't be happier. All I can think about in my dreams is me dancing to that tune. The only thing I can hear my baby say, even while she's speaking to me, is "Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo." I think I'm the most well-liked person on the planet at the moment. All I hear people talking about is me everywhere I go." Mental Jotter
Every nation has already produced a sculpture of Brain Jotter on this challenge.

Chapter 1: The End of an Era

Reti stood in the crowded parade ground, her heart swelling with a mix of pride and uncertainty. The sun was shining brightly, and the air was filled with the excited chatter of her fellow corps members, all eagerly awaiting the final ceremonies of their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) year. For Reti, this moment marked the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.
Reti had always been a bright student. Born into a low-income family, her parents had struggled to make ends meet, yet they never wavered in their support for her education. Her father worked as a taxi driver, and her mother sold vegetables in the local market. They had always believed in Reti's potential and sacrificed much to ensure she had the best education possible. Their sacrifices paid off when Reti earned a full scholarship to a prestigious private university, known for producing some of the brightest minds in the country.
Throughout her university years, Reti excelled academically. She was at the top of her class, known for her intelligence, dedication, and kind-hearted nature. Despite her achievements, she remained humble and always ready to lend a helping hand to her peers. Her friends admired her, not just for her brilliance, but for her unwavering support and generosity.
As she stood there, the memories of her university days flooded back. She remembered the late nights studying in the library, the group projects, and the camaraderie she shared with her friends. They often encouraged her to ask for help when she needed it, but Reti was fiercely independent. She didn't want to burden anyone, believing she could handle her challenges on her own.
After graduation, Reti was filled with hope and anticipation for the future. She dreamed of a successful career, of lifting her family out of poverty, and of making a difference in the world. However, the NYSC year brought unexpected challenges.
During her service, she met Bayo, a fellow corps member who seemed kind and trustworthy. He quickly became a close friend, offering advice and support.
Bayo was charming and convincing, and Reti, always seeing the best in people, trusted him completely. He introduced her to various opportunities, convincing her to invest her NYSC allowance in what he promised were lucrative ventures.
At first, everything seemed to be going well. Bayo's ventures appeared legitimate, and Reti's initial investments brought small returns. Encouraged by this success, she poured more of her savings into these opportunities. Bayo's assurances and her own desire to build a better future for her family clouded her judgment.
But as the NYSC year came to a close, things started to unravel. Bayo became elusive, and the promised returns on her investments began to falter. She tried reaching out to him, but his responses were vague and evasive. Anxiety gnawed at her as she realized that she might have been too trusting, too eager to believe in quick successes.
On the last day of their service, as the final ceremonies wrapped up, Reti scanned the crowd for Bayo but he was nowhere to be found. She approached his friends, but they too seemed to be in the dark about his whereabouts. The sinking feeling in her stomach grew stronger with each passing minute.
Standing there in her NYSC uniform, surrounded by the jubilation of her peers, Reti felt a profound sense of dread. The reality of her situation hit her hard: she had no job lined up, no savings left, and a looming debt from the investments she had made with Bayo. Her dreams of lifting her family out of poverty seemed more distant than ever.
The final march-past began, the band playing spirited tunes, but Reti's mind was elsewhere. As she performed the last salute, tears stung her eyes. She had always been so careful, so responsible, and now she was facing the consequences of a single, misguided trust.
The ceremony ended, and Reti found herself standing alone, clutching her certificate. Her fellow corps members were busy taking pictures, hugging, and celebrating, but she felt a weight pressing down on her chest. She needed to find a way out of this mess, and fast.
Leaving the parade ground, Reti walked aimlessly, her thoughts racing. The bustling city around her felt like a blur. She had a choice to make: she could either wallow in despair or summon the strength to fight through this challenge. Her parents had sacrificed so much for her education, and she couldn't let them down now.
Determined, Reti resolved to take control of her future. She would start by finding Bayo and holding him accountable. She had trusted him once, but now she needed answers. She also needed to find a job, any job, to start repaying her debts and rebuilding her savings.
As she stepped onto the bus home, Reti felt a mix of fear and determination. The road ahead was uncertain and filled with obstacles, but she knew she had to keep moving forward. She had come too far to give up now.
In the weeks that followed, Reti would face numerous challenges, but she would also discover her own resilience and strength. Little did she know, her journey was only just beginning, and the hardships she faced would shape her into a stronger, wiser person.
This was the end of her NYSC chapter, but it was also the start of a new, unpredictable journey. Reti's story was far from over, and her determination to overcome her struggles would eventually lead her to a surprising and hopeful future. The days of hardship and debt were just the beginning of her transformation.
