Very Dark Man Speaks Out: EFCC Still Holding His Phone Since May 2025
Social media critic and activist, Very Dark Man, has once again cried out bitterly over the continued seizure of his mobile phone by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to him, the phone — which has been in EFCC custody since May 2025 — is not just an ordinary device, but a treasure chest holding vital business contacts and deals he painstakingly secured during his trip to China. He revealed that while in China, he met with some of the world’s biggest manufacturers who were ready to collaborate with Nigerians interested in importing goods. All of those life-changing connections, he lamented, are locked inside the seized phone.
Very Dark Man expressed suspicion that some powerful figures may have orchestrated his ordeal — even describing it as an “abduction” or “kidnapping” — just to frustrate his business breakthroughs and terminate the connections he had built.
“What is the reason for my arrest up till now? If truly I’ve committed any crime, let EFCC charge me to court and prosecute me. But if not, they should release my phone because it means everything to me. Holding on to it is like taking me two years backward,” he declared.
The activist insists that the continuous withholding of his phone has crippled his progress and cast a shadow over his plans to bridge Nigerian businesses with international manufacturers. He has therefore called on the EFCC to either prosecute him or return the phone, stressing that justice delayed is justice denied.
