We Are Going Nowhere With The Present Set-Up of The Nigeria Football Federation

✳️The Entire Board MUST GO......They are an integral part of the problem. They extended the tenure of GS Sanusi by another 3years when his tenure was over. 11 years of backwardness and he is waiting for the noise to go down so he can continue his high handedness, threatening players about call-ups and feeling invincible.

✳️The Head of Technical Committe, Augustin Eguavoen MUST GO. He has not added any value neither does he have any clue what to do as the Head of Technical Committe. That position is way above his capacity and it is obvious he has NO honour to leave. The NFF has kept him there as a means of survival at the detriment of Nigerians. Everyone on that Technical committee especially those self entitled "Golden Generation" MUST GO!!!!

✳️Our age-grade Football has become a business centre. Players are being billed to feature in competitions - their agents and the low budget local coaches do business with slots on the team. Reason we are not having players grow through the age grade completions anymore. Daga and Bameyi are "Forever 20" but see Benjamin Fredrick, their mate who they begged Bosso to put on the U20 team now playing with Super Eagles as a stand out player.

✳️The same epidemic has reached Flamingoes and Super Falcons. I am still studying the Falconets for now. We have started seeing results from Flamingos, I will say if nothing changes with NFF, brace up for what is to happen with Super Falcons especially at the next WAFCON. Don't be too sure the ladies will make 2027 World Cup, the current set up is akin to sitting on keg of gun powder....

✳️ I just heard the N1Billion released by NSC to NFF for prosecution of the Play-Offs was spent by some board members to fly their wives and concubines to Morocco, even those with two wives flew them there. People who had no business there went with "extra clothes" at the expense of those who will shed tears, blood and sweat o

During a robbery in Zimbabwe, the thief shouted to everyone in the bank:

“Don’t move! The money belongs to the State — your lives belong to you.”

Everyone in the bank lay down quietly.
This is called “Changing the way of thinking” — shifting the traditional mindset.

When a woman lay provocatively on a table, the thief shouted:
“Please be civilized! This is a robbery, not a rape!”

This is called “Being Professional.” Focus only on what you are trained to do!

When the robbers returned home, the younger thief (who had an MBA) said to the older thief (who had only finished sixth grade):
“Big brother, let’s count how much we got.”

The older thief replied:
“You’re so stupid! There’s too much money — it’ll take forever to count. Tonight, the TV news will tell us how much we stole.”

This is called “Experience.” Nowadays, experience is more valuable than academic qualifications!

After the robbers left, the bank manager told the supervisor to call the police quickly. But the supervisor said:
“Wait! Let’s take $10 million from the bank for ourselves and add it to the $70 million we’ve already embezzled.”

This is called “Going with the flow.” Turning a disadvantageous situation into an advantage!

The supervisor then said:
“It would be great if there was a robbery every month.”

This is called “Killing boredom.” Personal happiness is more important than work.

The next day, the news reported that $100 million had been stolen from the bank.
The robbers counted and counted but only found $20 million.
Furious, they complained:
“We risked our lives and only got $20 million. The bank manager took $80 million in an instant! Looks like it’s better to be educated than to be a thief.”

This is called “Knowledge is as valuable as gold.”

Meanwhile, the bank manager smiled, relieved that his stock market losses were now covered by the robbery.

This is called “Seizing the opportunity.” Dare to take risks!

So… who are the real thieves?

Just for laughs 😆

🇳🇬 Jay-Jay Okocha: "The quality of African football is on the decline," he said while sharing his take on the quality of past and current national teams. "Then, everything used to come naturally for us. We played on the streets; we were all playing for the love of the game. But now, you see rich people calling you, saying their son is interested in football. At the early stages, they start denying them that freedom of expression because they get a personal coach who teaches them how to pass, shoot, and do whatever, because they have the money to spend." He said.

But that African flair is what's being taken away from us because they are not out there trying new things and expressing themselves. All they do is see our clips and try to do what we have already done. We used to create those dribbling moves because we were free. There were no rules. I'm not saying that's the best, but there's nothing better than developing love for whatever you're doing, and love will come from the freedom to express yourself." ✨️

World Cup 2026: FIFA Decision on Eritrea’s Withdrawal Hands Super Eagles a Qualification Lifeline

Nigeria’s 🇳🇬 hopes of reaching the 2026 FIFA World Cup have received a timely boost following reports that FIFA could apply a familiar rule after Eritrea pulled out of the African qualifiers.

The Super Eagles are battling to secure a ticket to the tournament, which will be staged in Canada, the USA and Mexico. With only two qualifying matches left, Nigeria must fight for at least second place in their group to stay in contention. But even that spot, which leads to the inter-confederation play-offs, is far from guaranteed.

Under CAF rules, the four best group runners-up will enter play-offs to determine Africa’s representative in the inter-continental playoffs. There they will face teams from Asia, South America, Oceania and CONCACAF for a final World Cup berth.

How Eritrea’s Withdrawal Helps Nigeria

Eritrea’s withdrawal from Group E has left that section with five teams instead of six. Historically, when a group is reduced in size, FIFA and CAF ensure fairness by adjusting the runners-up ranking. Matches against the bottom-placed team in full groups are often discarded so that every runner-up is compared across the same number of games.

This precedent was seen during the 2010 CAF qualifiers when Eritrea also pulled out. CAF ignored results against the fourth-placed team in each group to create balance. UEFA has used a similar method in tournaments such as Euro 2016 and the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, where some groups had five teams and others had six.

For Nigeria, this could be crucial. The Super Eagles have already dropped four points against the current bottom team in their group. If FIFA applies the same adjustment, those lost points might not count in the runners-up ranking, potentially giving Nigeria an advantage over other second-placed sides who took maximum points against their lowest-ranked opponents.

Hilda Baci is once again showing how to make a simple idea turn into something unforgettable.

Right now, she is attempting a new Guinness World Record by cooking the biggest pot of jollof rice the world has ever seen. But it’s not just about the food, it’s the way she has packaged the whole thing.

Over 20,000 Nigerians registered and many are currently at the venue, watching her cook live. She has turned this into more than a record attempt. It feels like a festival, with music, cheering, and big brand support. Sponsors like Gino Tomatoes, Viva Detergent, and Eko Hotels and Suites are all standing behind her.

Hilda was the first to start the Guinness World Record wave in Nigeria, and she has kept that energy going. She is beautiful, creative, and focused, proof that young women can break boundaries in their own way.

The lesson here is not only in what she is doing, but in how she is doing it: the timing, the branding, the partnerships. There’s a lot young women and even men can pick up from her moves.

Nigerian women are rising, and with people like Hilda leading the way, the next 10 years will tell a powerful story.

Video of the almost ready Jollof in the comments.
