Prince William is so proud of the pastry he made π On March 5, to mark St. Piran's Day, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, who is also Duke of Cornwall, visited his "domain", first he dropped by at Gear Farm Pastry Company, a family-owned pastry business known for their savory Cornish Pastries.
The Duke of Cornwall, tried crimping Cornish pastries alongside amused employees. He told them: "I can take full criticism", when he saw his pastry looked like a "slightly ill crab". As he folded the piece, he joked: "Oh my goodness, there's a lot more going into this than I thought". π
He continued, "I appreciate the comments but this is not my finest hour. This is where I need my wife, she would be all over this." Unfortunately, Catherine The Princess of Wales was not with him during his Cornwall visit, she was in Leicester with the British Indian Community for the Holi Festival.
Prince William visited Cornwall to celebrate St. Piran's Day with the main goal to visit the communities affected by Storm Goretti.
He also met the emergency teams at Helston Community Fire Station who worked to support those caught up in the storm which caused significant disruption in January. St. Piran's Day is Cornwall's national day celebrated every 5th of March.
