NPFL: Musa upbeat Kano Pillars will survive relegation

Kano Pillars captain Ahmed Musa is confident the club will maintain their top-flight status at the end of the season.

The four-time Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, champions have endured a difficult campaign.

The Sai Masu Gida boosted their survival hopes with a hard-earned 1-0 victory over Plateau United at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday.

Veteran midfielder Rabiu Ali scored the winning goal from the penalty spot on the stroke of half-time.

Pillars moved to 10th position on the table with 48 points from 36 matches.

Speaking during a recent interview with River Rhodes, the Nigerian international named Fulham’s Calvin Bassey and Tottenham Hotspur’s Cristian Romero as the toughest defenders he has played against.

Former presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has revealed why he decided to form an alliance with former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Speaking during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time programme on Monday, Kwankwaso said the North is returning to the political approach adopted by Tafawa Balewa and Ahmadu Bello during their time.

Turkey: Osimhen reflects on Galatasaray’s difficult win against Antalyalspor

Victor Osimhen has reacted to Galatasaray’s hard-fought 4-2 home victory against Antalyalspor, VOICEPLUX reports.

The win sealed a fourth consecutive Turkish Super Lig title for the Yellow and Reds, who top the standings with 77 points, with one game remaining in the campaign.

It was the 26th time Galatasaray will be lifting the title.

Antalyalspor took the lead twice in the game but were pegged back on both occasions by the hosts.

Osimhen played a crucial role in the win, scoring twice to underline his importance to the team.

The 27-year-old has scored 15 league goals for Galatasaray this season.

The Nigeria international admitted that their opponent made things difficult for them in the keenly contested encounter.
