PART 3 (FINAL PART)
For months, I stared at the second envelope.
"Open this on the day you become successful."
The problem was simple.
I didn't know when that day would come.
Was success when I bought my first car?
When I rented my own apartment?
When my business started making profits?
Or when people finally began to respect me?
Years passed.
The envelope remained sealed.
One evening, after returning from a business conference, I sat alone in my living room.
My eyes wandered around the house.
The house that once existed only in my dreams.
The car parked outside.
The business I had built from nothing.
The family that depended on me.
For the first time, I smiled and said to myself
"Maybe this is success."
My heart raced as I picked up the envelope.
Slowly, I opened it.
Inside was another piece of paper.
Just one sentence.
Nothing more.
It read:
"If you are reading this, your success did not come from luck. It came from the days you refused to quit."
I froze.
Then tears filled my eyes.
Not because of what was written.
But because it was true.
The old man never gave me money.
He never gave me a job.
He never introduced me to wealthy people.
He only gave me something stronger than all of those things.
Hope.
At that moment, I finally understood.
The envelopes were never magical.
The old man was never the miracle.
The miracle was the person I became while fighting through pain, rejection, hunger, failure, and disappointment.
The miracle was me.
The next day, I returned to the same street one last time.
An elderly shop owner looked at me and asked why I kept searching for a man nobody knew.
I showed him the notes.
He read them quietly and smiled.
Then he said something I will never forget.
"Young man, maybe God knew you needed a messenger. Don't spend your life looking for the messenger. Spend it becoming one."
I stood there speechless.
Today, whenever I meet someone who has lost hope, I tell them the same thing written inside the first envelope:
"Don't quit. Your breakthrough is closer than you think."
And perhaps that is why you are reading this story today.
