ASABA MEMORIAL CENTER: DISPELLING FALSEHOOD AND SETTING THE RECORDS STRAIGHT

The attention of the Ndudi Elumelu Campaign Organization has been drawn to a paid publication by Chief Chucks Nduka Eze in a Monday, May 11, 2026 edition of a national daily wherein he, claiming to represent the Asaba Memorial Trust, attempted to discredit the City Boys’ Movement and their legitimate effort towards the reelection of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

It is however not surprising that, given his antecedents of not supporting President Tinubu since the 2023 election, Chief Nduka-Eze will resort to fabrications and trying to scandalize the Minority Leader of the 9th House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu for donating his building in Asaba Delta to the City Boys to serve as their Secretariat in the State.

Ordinarily, our campaign would not bother to respond to the fabrications by Nduka-Eze but for the sake of the public, we have decided to set the records straight.

Firstly, contrary to claims by Nduka-Eze, the property donated by Rt. Hon Elumelu to the City Boys belongs to Rt. Hon Elumelu. It does not belong to Asaba Memorial Center, neither was it built with funds meant for the Memorial Center.

Secondly, also contrary to his claims, Chief Nduka-Eze never approached the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Femi Gbajabiamila to demand or propose for the Memorial Center. Rather, he met Rt. Hon. Gbajabiamila in Lagos as a former schoolmate at which meeting, he informed the former Speaker that his family has an acre of land which he proposed to be included in the budget for acquisition by Government as part of the allocation for the upgrade of the Federal Technical College Asaba.

However, upon investigation, it was discovered that his family had no such land in Asaba; that the said acre of land rather belonged to the community and not his family. Given the apparent underhandedness, the Speaker jettisoned the idea of appropriating funds to secure the land.

Thirdly, on the issue of the N450 million for the Memorial Center; contrary to Nduka-Eze’s claims, he did not propose the project to Rt. Hon Elumelu or the Speaker. The project came as an intervention project from Rt. Hon Elumelu, who as Minority Leader, proposed it in the budget as his Constituency Project. This is evidenced in Elumelu’s official letter-headed correspondence to the House Committee on Appropriation forwarding the project as his sponsored project.

Following Rt. Hon Elumelu’s request, N450 million was approved. Out of the N450 million, the sum of N383 million was released. The N383 million was however reversed and returned to the national coffers as unspent fund following the failure to secure a land in Asaba for the project. This is a fact that is verifiable from relevant agencies of government.

It is therefore shocking that Chief Nduka-Eze could throw decorum and respect for our heroes to the wind to conjure blatant falsehood in a bid to create false narrative that Rt. Hon. Elumelu’s property which he has held for over 20 years suddenly became the property of Asaba Memorial Trust because he donated it to the City Boys.

From every indication, including Chief Nduka-Eze’s established aversion to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, it is clear that the intent and purpose of the false narrative is to incite the people against the City Boys and cripple the group’s efforts towards the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027.

This unwarranted veiled attack on the City Boys by Chief Nduka-Eze, a known ‘Obidient’ clearly shows that he is working against President Tinubu’s interest. He never supported President Tinubu in 2023 election and apparently seeks to frustrate genuine, people-based efforts for his re-election in 2027.

Furthermore, we invite Chief Nduka-Eze to come clean and tell the people of Asaba how his reported attempt to swindle the government frustrated the efforts by patriotic citizens like Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu and stalled the Asaba Memorial Project.

On our part, our principal, Rt. Hon Ndudi Elumelu, the entire Campaign Council and indeed the people of Delta State remain focused and will not be distracted by characters like Chief Nduka-Eze.

Signed:
Rt. Hon. Ndudi Godwin Elumelu Campaign Council.

Merit Over Sentiment: Why Aniocha/Oshimili Must Reject Divisive Narratives and Uphold Performance in Representation

The article by Tony Eke, titled, “Apartheid and Greed: Aniocha Treats Oshimili as Political Inferior,” is not only misleading in its assumptions but fundamentally flawed in its conclusions. It attempts to substitute sentiment, division, and emotional rhetoric for what should be the cornerstone of democratic representation; merit, performance, competence, and proven capacity.

At the heart of the argument lies a dangerous oversimplification: that zoning and rotation, rather than competence and effectiveness, should determine who represents the people of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. This line of thinking undermines the very essence of democracy, which prioritizes the will of the people expressed through their confidence in capable leadership, not location, area of origin or lip service.

Representation is not a ceremonial rotation of offices; it is a serious responsibility that demands experience, legislative capacity, national relevance, and a demonstrable track record of delivering value. The people of Aniocha North, Aniocha South, Oshimili North, and Oshimili South are not divided by competence, they are united by a shared expectation of quality representation. Any attempt to reduce this expectation to mere zoning arrangements is both reductive and counterproductive.

Using Rt. Hon.Ndudi Elumelu as a case study clearly illustrates why merit must prevail. His tenure in the House of Representatives, including his role as Minority Leader, was not an accident of geography but a product of legislative experience, political maturity, and national influence. Ranking within the National Assembly is not arbitrarily assigned; it is earned through years of effective participation, strategic leadership, and the ability to influence policy at the highest levels. These are not qualities that can be rotated; they are built over time.

Elumelu’s record reflects sustained engagement with his constituency, facilitation of developmental projects, and a strong voice in national discourse. Whether one supports his continued candidacy or not, it is intellectually dishonest to dismiss such credentials in favor of a rigid zoning formula that ignores performance altogether. Leadership is not an experiment; it requires tested hands.

Furthermore, the suggestion that any axis has been “oppressed” or treated as “inferior” is not only exaggerated but deeply irresponsible. Words like “Apartheid,” “Greed,” and “Inferior” are inflammatory, historically loaded, and wholly inappropriate in describing the relationship between the Aniocha and Oshimili people. These communities share deep cultural, historical, and familial ties. To introduce such divisive language is to deliberately sow discord where none should exist.

It must also be stated clearly: the decision on who represents the people of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency rests solely with the people themselves, not external commentators. While public discourse is welcome in a democracy, it becomes problematic when individuals who are not direct stakeholders attempt to impose narratives that could destabilize unity. The people of this constituency are politically aware and capable of making informed choices based on their collective interests.

The claim that zoning automatically guarantees fairness is also questionable. True fairness lies in equal opportunity, not forced outcomes. Every qualified individual, regardless of origin within the constituency, should be free to present themselves before the electorate. The voters, in turn, should assess candidates based on competence, integrity, experience, and vision, not merely on where they come from.

It is also important to emphasize that a representative in the House of Representatives does not serve a clan, village, or axis, they serve the entire constituency. The mandate is holistic, not sectional. Effective representation requires someone who understands the diverse needs of all four local government areas and possesses the capacity to advocate for them collectively at the national level.

The attempt to frame the political landscape of Aniocha/Oshimili as one of domination and exclusion is therefore not only inaccurate but potentially harmful. It risks creating unnecessary tension and distracting from the real issues; development, governance, and effective representation.

In conclusion, the future of representation in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency must not be anchored on emotional appeals or divisive rhetoric. It must be built on merit, performance, experience, and proven leadership. The electorate must remain focused on what truly matters: who has the capacity to deliver, to lead, and to represent effectively at the national stage.

Anything less would be a disservice to the people and a betrayal of democratic principles.

Aniocha/Oshimili 2027: Why Oshimili North and South Will Choose Elumelu, Over Divisive Sentiments

Stakeholders of Oshimili North and South are dismayed by the resort to divisive, parochial and self-serving narratives being peddled by some individuals that parochial sentiments rather than competence will drive the people of Oshimili North and South in the 2027 House of Representatives election.

It is completely condemnable that such individuals will always want to sow a seed of discord with the aim to trigger crisis and destroy the unity, brotherliness and love that exist among the people of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency.

The analysis of voter clustering as election decider misunderstands the political DNA and insults the maturity of the Oshimili people and of course, Aniocha on the issue of leadership choice in elections.

The Oshimili people are politically intelligent individuals who are not led by blind sentiments but a defined pathway governed by the demands of character, vision, competence, capacity and skills in the selection of leaders.

For decades, the voting pattern of Oshimili North and Oshimili South has been defined not by tribal lines but by one question: Which candidate best suits our common interest; which candidate has the best plan, track record, competence, and character to develop our local government areas? That question has always been irrespective of parochial considerations of gender, clan, section or tribe but merit and common good.

That question will again determine 2027. The people of Oshimili will back the candidate who demonstrates willingness and determination to work assiduously for the development of their communities, irrespective of whether that candidate hails from Aniocha North, Aniocha South, Oshimili North, or Oshimili South.

The notion that population, geographic or ethnic clustering dictates how Oshimili votes, fails against history and reality. Three facts dispute it:

1. Democratic Maturity and Political Intelligence.

The Oshimili electorate is urban, exposed, and politically literate. With Asaba as the Delta State capital, Oshimili North and South host civil servants, professionals, traders, and a critical mass of youths who interrogate candidates beyond “where he comes from.” Their voting is policy-sensitive and performance-driven. Oshimili people even as a bloc act as individuals with a shared standard which is results.

2. A Track Record of Rejecting Tribal Sentiment

Over successive election cycles, Oshimili voters have consistently elevated candidates based on capacity, not clan. They have voted for Aniocha candidates when those candidates offered superior representation, and they will do so again. The idea that population equals automatic political control underestimates the sophistication of this electorate.

3. 2023 Was a Lesson, Not a Template

The “Obidient” surge of 2023 was a protest vote driven by national frustration. It disrupted traditional patterns across Nigeria, including Aniocha/Oshimili. For Oshimili people, 2023 was an eye-opener on how emotion without structure can produce outcomes that do not translate to effective representation.

That experience has reinforced their resolve: never again will sentiment replace scrutiny. 2027 will be about Employment, Empowerment, and Development, not anger, not tribe.

It is imperative that any individual who desire to represent the people of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency must be ready to present his or her leadership credentials, achievements, visions and evidence of capacity and competence instead of resorting to parochial sentiments that do not benefit the people.

Such individuals should take a cue from Minority Leader of the 9th House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON and that is why the people of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, including an overwhelming majority of Oshimili people, are building a consensus for his return to the House of Representatives.

The Elumelu Standard: Representation Beyond Boundaries

No one illustrates Oshimili’s criteria better than the immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, from Aniocha North LGA. Elumelu has represented Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency three times. Yet his deepest political bond remains with the people of Oshimili.

As Minority Leader, Elumelu leveraged his ranking position to make Aniocha/Oshimili strategic in national discourse. He did not represent as an Aniocha man. He represented as a federal legislator for Aniocha North, Aniocha South, Oshimili North, and Oshimili South.

Roads, schools, health centres, solar streetlights, ICT centres, employment and empowerment programs were distributed with equity and intent. Oshimili communities from Okpanam to Illah, Cable Point to Akwukwu-Igbo, felt his impact directly.

Elumelu’s maturity showed in how he positioned Oshimili. He understood Asaba’s status as a capital city and commercial hub. He used his influence to attract federal presence, job opportunities, and projects that matched that strategic position. He treated Oshimili not as a voting bloc, but as a development priority.

Though an in-law to Ndi Oshimili, Elumelu has been “a friend who is more than a brother” to the people. Chieftaincy titles, community consultations, and his consistent presence at Oshimili events were not politics; they were proof of integration. Ndi Oshimili do not measure him by LGA of origin. They measure him by years of access, response, and results.

This informs why the people including the majority of Oshimili people want him back in the National Assembly. Returning Elumelu to the House of Representatives is in the best interest of the people. Some voices argue that “he has gone three times” and that Oshimili should continue to produce the next Representative. That view misses the institutional reality of the National Assembly.

The House of Representatives runs on ranking. Principal offices, chairmanship of Grade A committees, and influence over budgetary allocations go to high-ranking members. As immediate past Minority Leader, Elumelu already sits in the top tier of the House. A return in 2027 makes him a 4th-term member, eligible for Speaker, Deputy Speaker, or any top committee. That is leverage Oshimili North and South cannot afford to forfeit for the sake of rotation.

Federal projects take years to conceive, lobby, and execute. Elumelu’s network in MDAs, built over 12 years, means ongoing projects in Oshimili will not be orphaned. His return guarantees continuity of job placements, federal interventions, and constituency initiatives already in the pipeline. A new member, regardless of competence, starts afresh on day 1.

Rotation for its own sake does not build schools or create jobs; representation does. The Oshimili electorate has shown it prefers a proven, efficient, and effective representative who delivers Employment, Empowerment, and Development, over an untested candidate whose only credential is LGA of origin.

The people of Oshimili North and Oshimili South will not outsource their future to the theory of voter clustering. Their democratic maturity demands evidence: Who has a plan for youth employment in Asaba and Okpanam? Who has the federal reach to complete the Benin-Asaba Expressway axis and tackle flooding ravaging some of our communities in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency? Who has the character to be accessible after election day?

On each question, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu’s record answers loudly. He has done it for Aniocha/Oshimili before, without bias, and he is positioned to do it bigger with the weight of ranking.

Oshimili will vote for development. Oshimili will vote for capacity. Oshimili will vote for the candidate whose willingness and determination to work assiduously has already been tested and proven.

In 2027, the House of Representatives seat for Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency will not be won by geography. It will be retained by performance. Performance, the positive case for returning Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, is overwhelming.

APC 2027: Why Aniocha/Oshimili APC Leaders, Members Should Stand With Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu

As the All Progressives Congress (APC) prepares for the 2026 Primary and 2027 General Election, the choice before leaders and members of the party in the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Delta State, is both strategic and historic. Beyond party loyalty, sentiments, or zoning considerations lies a more fundamental question: who possesses the experience, credibility, capacity, and broad appeal required to win the election and deliver effective representation for Aniocha/Oshimili in the House of Representatives? On all counts, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, stands out as the most compelling choice for the APC’s House of Representatives flag bearer.

Rt. Hon. Elumelu is not new to parliamentary governance. His distinguished tenure in the House of Representatives, which culminated in his emergence as the Minority Leader of the 9th House of Representatives; a super Principal Officer, places him among the most experienced legislators to have represented Aniocha/Oshimili. This role was far from ceremonial; it demanded strategic thinking, a deep understanding of legislative procedures, strong negotiation skills, and the capacity to articulate policy alternatives on behalf of millions of Nigerians.

Leaders and Members of the APC in Aniocha/Oshimili can therefore be confident that a vote for Elumelu is a vote for competence, preparedness, and effective leadership from day one.

Nigeria’s legislature is complex, and true effectiveness is built over time. Elumelu’s years in the House have endowed him with invaluable institutional memory, national networks, and practical insight into how laws are shaped, resources attracted, and constituency interests protected. At a time when citizens demand tangible dividends of democracy, the APC needs a candidate who can immediately leverage experience to deliver results, rather than one still learning the ropes.

Winning the APC party primary is only the first hurdle; securing victory in the general election is the ultimate objective. Elumelu’s political journey has earned him strong name recognition, deep grassroots goodwill, and cross-community respect across the four local government areas of Aniocha North, Aniocha South, Oshimili North, and Oshimili South.

His appeal cuts across age groups, wards, and political tendencies, positioning him as a unifying figure capable of consolidating the APC’s base while attracting swing voters and new supporters.

Delta State politics, particularly in Aniocha/Oshimili, requires bridge builders; leaders who can manage differences, build consensus, and place constituency interest above personal ambition. Elumelu’s record in national politics reflects his ability to engage constructively with diverse stakeholders and work across divides. For APC leaders and Members seeking stability, cohesion, and strategic growth within the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, this quality is invaluable.

As a recipient of a National Honour, Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON), Rt. Hon. Elumelu brings added prestige and credibility to the APC ticket. His national standing enhances the party’s image and signals seriousness of purpose. In an era where voters increasingly scrutinize the quality and credibility of candidates, such recognition further reinforces public confidence.

Ultimately, the decision before leaders and Members of APC in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency is about the future; about presenting a candidate who can win elections, represent effectively, and elevate the party’s standing in the Federal Constituency. Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, combines experience, electability, leadership, and vision in a way few can match.

For APC leaders and Members committed to victory in 2027 and meaningful representation thereafter, the choice is clear. Rallying behind Rt. Hon. Elumelu, as the APC flag bearer for the House of Representatives, Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, is not merely a political decision; it is a strategic investment in the future of the people of the constituency.

EASTER: Elumelu Urges Nigerians to Embrace Hope, Peace, Back Tinubu's Good Intentions

The Minority Leader of the 9th House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, has called on Christians and Nigerians at large to reflect on the true meaning of Easter, stressing the significance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ as the foundation of hope, salvation, and reconciliation between God and humanity.

In his Easter message on Sunday, April 5, 2026, Elumelu observed that Easter, the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, three days after His crucifixion, remains the cornerstone of the Christian faith.

According to him, the resurrection signifies the triumph of life over death and light over darkness, offering mankind the pathway for redemption and eternal life.

He emphasized that through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, humanity has been reconciled to God, describing it as the ultimate expression of God’s unconditional love for mankind. He urged Christians to rise above their past shortcomings and deepen their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, assuring that His resurrection offers a fresh start filled with hope and grace.

“Elumelu stated, “Easter reminds us of the boundless love of God, who sacrificed His only Son for the salvation of humanity. It is a season that calls for deep reflection, renewed faith, and total commitment to righteous living.”

The former Minority Leader further called on Nigerians to remain steadfast in prayers, especially for peace and security in the country, as preparations intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“At this critical time in our national life, we must be relentless in our prayers for unity, peace, and stability. We must commit Nigeria into the hands of God, particularly as we have entered another election cycle,” he said.

Elumelu also extended prayers for global peace, with particular reference to tensions in the Middle East, warning that instability in the region has far-reaching implications for global and national economies.

The lawmaker appreciated the efforts of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in steering the nation towards progress, expressing optimism that the President’s good intentions for Nigeria would continue to yield positive results.

He also commended the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, for his commitment to peace, security, and infrastructural development across the state.

Elumelu particularly lauded the Governor for the commissioning of the 4.8-kilometre Oko phase 1 Road in Oshimili South Local Government Area within the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in the State, describing it as a great delight and a clear demonstration of the Governor's administration’s love and passion for the people.

He called on the people of Delta State to continue to support, cooperate with, and pray for the Governor, especially as he implements his MORE Agenda with Renewed Hope for the overall development of the state.

On behalf of the Elumelu family and his political associates, Rt. Hon. Elumelu wished "all Nigerians, particularly the people of Aniocha/Oshimili and Delta State, a fulfilling and joyous Easter celebration", urging them "to remain steadfast in faith, love, and unity for a better nation".
