The most powerful career catalyst isn't a promotion or a degree. I've watched it change lives in my coaching practice...

It's finding the right mentor.

Over years of coaching professionals at every level, I've noticed five remarkable transformations that happen when someone connects with a mentor who truly understands them:

1️⃣ BLIND SPOT RECOGNITION
→ Question: How can you fix what you don't see?
→ Reality: You can't. But a mentor's experienced perspective reveals these invisible barriers.
→ Example: A technical expert I coached transformed her presentation style after just one conversation with her new mentor.

2️⃣ EXPANDED POSSIBILITIES
→ Question: How big are your goals, really?
→ Reality: Probably too small. Great mentors reset your definition of "possible."
→ Example: A client who wanted a 10% raise ended up launching a successful business after his mentor challenged his thinking.

3️⃣ EFFORTLESS NETWORK GROWTH
→ Question: Struggling with cold outreach?
→ Reality: One warm introduction from a respected mentor can replace months of networking.
→ Example: A single email from her mentor connected my client to three industry leaders who became her clients.

4️⃣ MISTAKES REFRAMED AS ASSETS
→ Question: Still hiding your failures?
→ Reality: Mentors help transform past missteps into powerful stories of resilience.
→ Example: My client's "failed startup" became the cornerstone of his successful leadership narrative.

5️⃣ AUTHENTIC STRENGTHS AMPLIFIED
→ Question: Trying to fit a standardized mold?
→ Reality: True mentors help you optimize your unique traits, not suppress them.
→ Example: An "overly detailed" analyst learned to position her thoroughness as her greatest asset.

What makes this work isn't the mentor's credentials or fame - it's the quality of the relationship and mutual investment in growth.

They called me the “bád boy of Nollywood,” and I didn’t argue. I wore the glasses, drove the cars, acted the roles—and owned it.

But what people didn’t know was that I had my own silent battles. There was a time I lost everything. I invested in something big, and it cráshed. I was brôke, dépressed, and ângry. The fame was still there, but my bank account was empty.

I flew out of the country just to breathe and think clearly. That trip saved me. I learned that being a man is not about showing off—it’s about bouncing back.

I started from scratch, rebuilt my life, and returned stronger. These days, I still act, but I also build businesses.

The bád boy grew up—and I’m proud of that.

When you get to the pris0n (Minimum Pris0n)
They won't give you blue/Green Shirt because you are still on Trial and you are not s£ntenced yet.

The first night, you will sleep in welcome cell

They will ask you to squat, close your eyes and you may remain like that for 4 hours plus with invisible slapping from Different corners.

The next morning
You will cut grass then after that, you will squat on the open field for the pr£sidents of each cell to make selections of their new intake

Then, you will be selected to a new cell room

When you get there
They will ask you few questions

Like

Who is the president of Nigeria?
If you say Tinubu, Osi mopol will slap you from back and they will intoduce their own pr£sident to you

Who is the G0vernor of Lag0s?

If you say Sanwo Olu, osi mopol will match another slap on you from behind, they will now tell you their own G0vernor

They will introduce you to people of value in the cell room with key position

Osi laba is inccharge of toilet.
Osi water is the person in charge of water and you must take permission from him before you can drink water.
They will introduce you to the cell pastor and Imam.

Because you are new
Your new name will be Alejo

One of the strongest rule in the cell room for new comers is that.

You can't reject the free stony beans.
Nothing like am not hungry, i don't want to eat

The free stony beans is a must and you must eat

Saturday is sanitation day
They will cut down your hair.

Chai... i don't even know if i should continue or st0p here

Ignorance of the law is no excuse, be warned.
