NAFA CONGRATULATES ATIKU ABUBAKAR, PDP 2019 PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE.

A mega political pressure group, Nigerians Asking For Atiku (NAFA), has congratulated the former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for emerging as the 2019 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, in a keenly contested exercise held in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

National Coordinator of NAFA) Dr Talatu Silka in a statement by the group's National Publicity Secretary, Barrister Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe and made available to newsmen in Port Harcourt, said the victory of Atiku has rekindled the hopes of Nigerians in our collective quest and strong desire to rescue Nigeria; from the socioeconomic impoverishment occasioned by the lack of visionary leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari.

"NAFA joins millions of Nigerians to thank all PDP delegates that voted Atiku to emerge as the presidential candidate of the largest political party in the black continent, PDP.

"Our country which is at the verge of socioeconomic collapse under Buhari led APC National Government shall be rescued under Atiku led PDP federal government come 2019.

"The coast is now clear for a greater Nigeria; and all hands must be on deck to pull down APC propaganda government so as to start a new beginning of socioeconomic remodelling and lay solid foundation for the new Nigeria of our dreams, going forward.

"Atiku's excellent leadership qualities has greatly endeared him to the hearts of Nigerians coupled with his detribalized posture on national issues, good governance initiates and his strong desire to restructure Nigeria.

"NAFA shall join all other Atiku groups nationwide and PDP to mobilize eligible voters so as to ensure Atiku's landslide victory in the forthing presidential election in 2019," Silka said.

Felix Eigbefo it is well with Nigeria

How did we get here as a nation...?

This photo is NOT a football match.

Should this be a country? ...a place where 324,000 graduates and others apply for 4,000 FRSC jobs as seen the this photo. A stadium packed out.

Should this be a country? ...a place where a Minister of Health would ask medical doctors to go into tailoring and farming despite the serious shortages of doctors.

Should this be a country? ...a place where the president wife's ADC can steal N2.6b from gifts to her.

Is Nigeria really a country of justice.

After sometime everyone will forget all these and continue with the mediocrity.

Something needs to happen fast before alot of us will completely lose hope in Nigeria.

Dredging of Escaravos, Warri Channels: Don’t be distracted Rep tells NPA

On September 17, 2018, 2:30 pm

By Jeremiah Urowayino

The member representing the Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr. Daniel Reyenieju has urged the Management of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) not to be distracted in ongoing dredging of both the Escravos and Warri Channels, accusing those who that lost in the bidding for the dredging contract as sponsors of the irrelevant protests.

The lawmaker made this disclosure yesterday in Koko, noting that “any well-meaning individual and group should laud the effort of the federal government in approving and awarding the contracts for the dredging of both channels through NPA, for the simple fact that when the dredging is completed, the seaports in Warri, Koko, Sapele including Brutu will become functional.
Daniel Reyenieju

“Those that are currently raising issues over the contract award are paid agent-provocateurs who do not mean well for the Niger Delta, particularly when one of these institutional critics have woefully failed to properly execute the dredging of the Calabar Channels which it had earlier won’’.

He appealed to the management of NPA to remain focus and should not be perturbed by the current ranting of paid protesters; including ensuring that the dredging is completed within record time so that these seaports could start functioning optimally.

“The shameful tragedy of Lagos particularly, the endless congestion usually being experienced in the Apapa port and adjoining roads, and the attendant revenue loss to governments and users of the port and roads will drastically be reduced once the dredging is completed’’. said Reyenieju.

Delta 2019 Governorship Election: Delta As "Equilateral Triangle"

By IKE Nwabuoku

As we approach the 2019 elections, we believe that some forethought is
necessary before we embark on the project, especially in the election of the
Governor of the state from 2019 to 2023.
As an advance, VOTERS AGREE is a convention that is strategically structured on
registered voters who desire to vote credible persons into various Government
positions. Noteworthy is that resolutions reached by the VOTERS AGREE
conventioneers on voting are not only based on political and moral convictions,
but guided by the principles of equity, justice and fairness.
All democratic processes are based on the principle that all members of the
system called State have equal right t be involved in the running of affairs of the
state.
To promote the enunciated equality, the zoning arrangement came to the fore.
The zoning arrangement provides that each Senatorial District would take turns to
produce the Governor of the state after every Eight (8) years. Zoning is a
common practice all over the Federation, irrespective of political party affiliation
and as such Delta State cannot be an exemption.
The zoning arrangement has remained an expedient tool for promoting equity,
justice and fairness in our dear state, and it has been a conventional practice in
our daily lives as members of our democratic society.
Geo-politically, Delta State is an "Equilateral Triangle" with members as Delta
North (Anioma), Delta Central (Urhobos) and Delta South (Ijaws, Itsekiris, Isokos).
It is instructive to refresh that in 1999, Ex-Governor James Ibori (Dela Central)
emerged as Governor and ruled from 1999 to 2007 (8 years). In 2007, Ex-
Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan (Delta South) emerged and ruled from 2007 to
2015 (8 years). In 2015, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta North) emerged and
running on his first four years tenure as Governor. What we can find in the above
is an unabridged transmutation of Gubernatorial power from one zone to another,
after every Eight (8) years.
It becomes a truism therefore, that Delta North has a second chance of Four (4)
years beginning fro 2019.
Deltans of good conscience should understand this position and we must go
beyond understanding to insulate the principles of equity, justice and fairness in
our democratic society.
We are constantly, as Deltans monitoring all gladiators including the incumbent.
One area of joy is that they are all eminently qualified to rule Delta State.
Let us not be misconstrued to have left individual character and / or capacity to
rule our state in our considerations. It is on the cards, and nothing tending
towards negative index has emerged. We cannot afford to compromise equity,
justice and fairness.
This is our Delta, one people, same destiny. Elders, leaders and stakeholders, this
is the time for us to be egalitarian.
IKE Nwabuoku
Convener (VOTERS AGREE).

*OPEN LETTER TO THE DELEGATES*

Dear delegates, once again the spotlight is on you, our weak democracy is in your hands, the future of Nigeria is in your hands, you can either decide to think of your stomach, throw away credibility, throw away competence & sell your vote to the highest bidder or you can think of the future of Nigeria, your children & grandchildren & pitch your tent with the most credible candidate/alternative.

I understand that during the last general elections some of you went away with monies ranging from 500 thousand naira to over a million naira in your pockets.
I understand that the depth of one's pocket can easily secure him the ticket to be a party flag bearer but what's the wisdom of being rich for one day & spending the remaining 4yrs+ In poverty & regrets?

Dear delegate, remember your decision will determine how well the next 4yrs will be. Also, remember that we go to the same market, your children are in school & there are bills to pay. Remember also that today you are the most sought after group by politicians but ask yourself if you will still be sought after the primaries.

Dear delegate, forgive me for coming hard on you but I totally blame you for whatever predicament we are going through today from the ward counselship to the local government Chairmen to the state & federal legislatures to the presidency. The candidates you give us will not only bear our fate but yours as well.

Dear delegate, you have no right to complain that a leader is bad because according to the electoral laws of Nigeria, we can only work with the candidates you present to us, the choice you made 4yrs ago is what we are all leaving with.

Dear delegate, before you cast that vote, please ask yourself what your candidate will do for the people;
will he tackle the issue of insecurity?
will he create jobs?
Will he provide quality health care?
Will he industrialize the state?
Will he build new roads?
Will he tamper with the unity of the people or will he bang their heads together?
Will he represent us well in the National Assembly?
Will he come up with bills that will have direct positive impact on the people?
Will he attract federal government projects to the state?
How about workers welfare, will he pay them as at when due or will he keep owing them?
What will his policies be like? Will they favor the citizens or just his clique?

Dear delegate I implore you not to sell your conscience for any kind of gratification which is not good governance but if you must, please let everyone willing to buy your vote do so for a minimum of 15million naira per delegate.
Remember, a delegate who only relies on his money to get your vote won't be accountable to anyone because he has paid you to buy your support.

Dear delegate, help me help your children give us a candidate that will build the Nigeria of the prophecy
