Marriage is like playing the piano,
Two hearts seated side by side,
Fingers touch the ivory keys of joy,
Where laughter flows, bright and wide.
Yet there are black keys, sharp and near,
Moments of trial, of doubt, of fear.
They press their weight into the song,
Reminding us where strength belongs.
The minors whisper, soft and low,
Times when sorrow dares to grow.
Flat notes fall—unwelcome sound,
Yet even they keep rhythm bound.
Together, the white keys lift again,
Harmony returns, like a faithful friend.
For no melody shines without its shade,
No masterpiece without contrast made.
So marriage is music, imperfect yet true,
A duet composed of both me and you.
Through crescendos, staccatos, pauses, silence or strain,
May our Love be that melody that will always remain...
