The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the public display of the personal particulars and credentials of candidates nominated by political parties for the 2027 general elections.
The exercise, carried out in accordance with the Electoral Act, gives members of the public an opportunity to inspect the documents submitted by candidates seeking elective positions and raise objections where necessary.
Among those whose particulars have been displayed are presidential candidates of major political parties, including Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar, and Peter Obi.
The initiative is part of INEC's efforts to promote transparency and accountability in the electoral process.
