Auchi Polytechnic Reaffirms Ban On Sign-out Activities By Graduating Students

The Dean, Students’ Affairs Division of Auchi Polytechnic, Mr. Y.O. Sadoh, has issued a memorandum reminding all graduating students of the standing ban on all forms of "signing out" activities. The reminder references an earlier circular dated January 30, 2025, and urges strict compliance from students as part of institutional discipline. The memo reiterates that any student found violating the ban will face sanctions in accordance with the student handbook.

The referenced circular, issued by the Registrar, Mrs. F. I. Eshiotse, highlights management’s decision following a resolution by the Students’ Welfare Advisory Committee. The committee condemned the practice of allowing signatures or obscene messages on shirts, the use of special attires, and other celebratory acts considered disruptive to campus order and contrary to the institution’s values.

Students are further reminded that the prohibition includes activities such as group celebrations, pouring of substances, use of fireworks or motorcades, noisy photo or video sessions, loitering, and bringing unauthorized individuals to campus premises. Offenders risk penalties including suspension for one academic session.

Management has tasked Deans, Heads of Departments, the Students’ Union, and security officials to ensure full compliance with the directive.
