The Arguments of Jarrett Tenebe are Hardly Ever Tenable

Every time the media asks me to respond to the Edo APC chairman I am usually confused as to how to respond to him. Where the tenses are not coherent the accent is nauseating. What is more annoying is that the APC chairman takes lying about everything a serious assignment that he has to be paid for.

Here is a man that accused the former deputy governor of stealing his wrist watch only for him to be winning and dinning with the same person he accused of being a petty thief.

On another occasion the APC chairman says there aren't up to 300 persons who can afford cable television in Edo State. Unknown to him that statement was actually an indictment to him and his party because what it means is that for a party that has a former governor as a member and now a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria the party has not empowered up to 300 persons.

Clearly the APC chairman is not a serious person and it is becoming burdensome to respond to lies, gutter language and pedestrian thinking.

Recently the APC chairman accused the PDP of disrupting the inspection of INEC documents at the INEC head office in Edo. Little did the poor thinking chairman realize that APC thugs in the past one week have violently occupied the INEC office while they brandish pump action guns and other dangerous weapons in broad daylight.

The likes of Kabaka and Ebo stone have even done life broadcast on social media handles while carrying out their nefarious activities at the INEC office: something that they are notorious for.

All attempts by the legal team of the PDP to inspect INEC materials have been met with resistance from gun weilding thugs from the APC. This they have done with reckless abandon before the open glare of military and police officers all of whom appear helpless in the face of such lawlessness and wickedness.

Nonetheless the PDP has remained undaunted and unfazed in this primitive Violent approach of the APC to intimidate her legal personel all to the intent that the PDP won't be able to meet up with the deadline for filling her appeal against the electoral heist orchestrated by INEC under the supervision of the security operatives who provided cover for the criminal activity APC called an election.

Edo Decides: Edo Governorship Election Worst Ever Conducted By INEC – Olu Martins

Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today described the just concluded governorship election in the state as the worst election ever conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The Deputy Director-General, Media and Publicity, of the Asue/Ogie Campaign Management Council, Olu Martins, made the observation while addressing newsmen in Benin City, the state capital.

According to Martins, the INEC made the election a must win for the All Progressives Congress (APC) following its actions and inactions.

He accused the electoral umpire and the security agencies most especially the Nigerian Police Force for providing the cover for the massive irregularities that took place at the collation process at the INEC State Collation Centre.

“The contestation for us was more of a contestation between the PDP and the security operatives in one hand led by Nigerian Police and then the Independent National Electoral Commission. Two of them were in cahoots together to r**e democracy,” he said.

The Asue/Ogie Campaign Deputy DG added that the election was going on free, fair, and credible at the ward level and LGAs until INEC and the security agencies especially the Nigerian Police Force became interested parties in the election when it moved local government collation centre to the INEC State collation office.

He added that President Ahmed Bola Tinubu body language and comments ahead of the governorship election were not unconnected with the r**e of democracy during the September 21st governorship, which he described as fake.

Edo 2024: Nigeria Police Force Playing Hide And Seek With Edo People

I like to play hide and seek with my five year old son. When it is his turn to hide I have to close my eyes and count to ten before I begin the search for his whereabouts. To make the game interesting for him, I must pretend I don't know where he is hiding even when I see half of his feet out of his hiding place. I have to keep saying "where is this boy" even when I know exactly where he is.

Meanwhile he is there in his "hiding" place chuckling and quite convinced that he has done a good job of hiding from his daddy. So as a patronizing daddy I only find when I want to find him otherwise the game will go awry.

This hide and seek game I play with my son is exactly what the Nigeria Police is playing in the Edo governorship election coming on Saturday 21st September.

Many PDP supporters have been arrested supposedly in connection with the death of a police officer at the airport during a shoot out carried out by APC under the very watchful eyes of the Police Force who were everywhere around the APC goons, thugs, Lions and Tigers.

Whereas the world saw live videos of APC boys brandishing dangerous weapons including pumping action guns and cutlasses, the Nigeria Police like the game I like to play with my son is pretending not to have seen the videos of these gun trotting APC thugs and have preferred instead in the name of a phantom investigation connected to the same airport road saga shooting wherein a police officer lost his life gone ahead to arrest PDP supporters who were no where near the airport as at the time of the said incidence.

How do you factor a one sided spate of arrest of PDP members when the said police officer who lost his life was last seen around APC goons. Even when the said police officer was still alive and could have been saved if he were rushed to the nearest hospital which was just a few meters away from the crazy mob that APC organized ( something the APC goons who were ubiquitously available didn't do) the police clearly doesn't consider all those actions as criminal and illegal.

No doubt that the Nigeria Police has a duty to protect lives and property (something that it must do professionally), it must demonstrate clearly that it is not serving the interest of one political party something which the PDP isn't sure of at the moment. If the Inspector General of Police and the Force PRO say that the arrest of PDP members is in connection with the shooting at airport road a few months ago how come they didn't see the videos and pictures that went viral of the Kabakas and his brother or that of Ebo Stone and his gang. We even saw and heard from one Emmanuel Egogo, who boasted in a live video that "dead body go surplus for this election" while in company of one self styled Apostle Kassy who equally made dangerous and inciting statements.

Suppose for instance the Inspector General of Police pretends he didn't see the viral videos of gun trotting APC thugs, a very popular daily news print published the pictures of the suspected assailants in a full page of their credible newspaper and yet the police took no action and haven't so done till tomorrow. The police instead find it convenient to arrest PDP members for allegations that the APC orchestrated. Isn't that ironic or even intentional?

So like the hide and seek game I play with my son the Nigeria Police is pretending not to see the leg of the APC showing from behind the door. It is instead looking away so that the APC can chuckle behind the door like my five year son when he thinks he has hidden very well not knowing that its I the father who doesn't want to end the game early because that may make the game uninteresting and short for him.

So let the police and its APC accomplice continue to play their game. One thing, however, is sure and it is that no action however executed can stop the defeat of the APC nor the determination of the Edo people to vote Dr Asue Ighodalo and Barr Osarodion Ogie of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) as Governor and Deputy Governor of Edo State come September 21st 2024.

Issue Based Campaign: You can only Give What You Have

Years ago when the Berlin wall still separated West Germany and East Germany, the West woke up one morning to find out that the East had dumped a heap load of rubbish and debris on their own side of the wall; using a crane over the wall.

After a few days of deliberation, the West decided to retaliate. So West Germany ordered for provisions, clothings , fruits and all types of goodies and dumped it on the side of the wall of East Germany using a crane as well.

However West Germany left a big sign on the confectioners they put on the side of East Germany which read: " A people can only offer what they have, we don't have dirt in us so we can't offer it so we decided to offer this. What we have is only good things and that's what we have offered".

In this campaign, all that the APC has offered us is dirty talk led by the very careless talking and abusive Adams Oshiomole. All you hear from them is burn down, destroy, pull down and demolish. They offer no solutions, no remedies and certainly no palliatives.

APC is a poisonous party and all they have to offer is sorrow tears and blood according to Fela Kuti. PDP on the other hand continues to offer solutions in real time like Gov Obaseki is doing and our candidate in his normal quintessential manner continues to blaze the trail in postulating ideas that can drive Edo State towards becoming a sustainable enviable State when he becomes governor for another four years in the first instance.

What we have is what we offer. APC offers destruction because that is what it has. When you have an Illiterate as a party leader, a candidate who is intellectually barren with a deputy candidate with a dubious past what you do expect. To crown it all, they now put a near sixty year old stark illiterate as youth leader and an empty barrel barely educated Party Chairman who is always acting like a terrorist you don't need to wonder too much why they talk with so much venom and anger the way they do.

Compare their line up to that of PDP. PDP has a very educated line starting from a very brilliant and thorough thinking Governor to a highly educated Party Chairman. I don't even want to waste my time comparing the candidates of our party to that of the APC because that would be like comparing darkness and light.

An Excellent Product Sells Itself

Dr Asue Ighodalo Does not Require Surreptitious Means To Win the September 21st 2024 gubernatorial election. Edo people are intelligent and observant enough to distinguish between a thoroughbred and a wannabe candidate.

It seems the APC is already developing cold feet for the coming elections billed for next month. I read a rather boring write up which reeks of a worn out methodology by the nomadic, serial defector, contractor spokesperson of the APC where he claimed that plans were underway by the State Government to rig election for our candidate, the very ebullient and cerebral Dr Asue Ighodalo.

Knowing APC for its well developed penchant for lies and falsehood it would not have been necessary to respond to Kassim Afegbua's anachronistic style of campaign of calumny but for those who may not know Kassim Afegbua it is necessary to put the record straight.

Dr Asue Ighodalo does not need any introduction to the Nigerian people especially Nigerians who appreciate hard work and ingenuity (attributes that are strange to the APC).

Dr Asue Ighodalo is the international award winning serial entrepreneur and investment banker who has held sway as chairman of several multinationals and organizations. He was chairman of Sterling Bank, Dangote Flour, and Nigerian Breweries just to mention a few.

Dr Asue Ighodalo is the candidate of the PDP who has transversed the length and breath of Edo State while espousing the most brilliant and lofty ideas of governance and leadership. These ideas continue to resonate with the three Senatorial Districts of Edo South, Edo Central and Edo North.

Dr Asue Ighodalo has been the most intellectually engaging candidate in the race to Osadebey Avenue as his media and live engagements continue to stimulate the minds and consciences of the Edo voting population. The Edo people have not seen that kind of content and issue based engagements ever as they continue to flock around him in large number anytime he calls or goes for such engagement.

Unlike the APC candidate who dodges any engagement that requires the critical use of this mental ability. He won't appear on television or participate in any debate. Even when he has to speak at rallies someone has to whisper bullet points ("chukuli") to him and even at that he still would be incoherent in his postulation.

Clearly the embarrassment that the lackluster candidate of APC causes anytime he opens his mouth is already affecting their spokesperson Kassim Afegbua who can represent an imbecile to lead well rounded people as long as the pay is good. This is why Kassim is hallucinating in the wake of an obvious defeat which awaits his candidate and his party come September 21st 2024.

Like the Rolls Royce car that doesn't need advertising Dr Asue Ighodalo is a global brand that does not require to be clandestinely brought into Osadebey Avenue through the backdoor. Dr Asue Ighodalo and Barr Osarodion Ogie stand tall in this race and the Edo people are eager to deal a blow to the barely educated candidate of the APC and his diminutive, vitierative elder Spokesperson Adams Oshiomole.
