Abdullah ibn Amr reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, *“If one of you is frightened by a dream during sleep, let him say: I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger, His punishment, and the evil of His servants, from the insinuations of devils and their presence. Verily, they will never harm him.”*

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ *إِذَا فَزِعَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي النَّوْمِ فَلْيَقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ غَضَبِهِ وَعِقَابِهِ وَشَرِّ عِبَادِهِ وَمِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَأَنْ يَحْضُرُونِ فَإِنَّهَا لَنْ تَضُرَّهُ*

*Thursday يوم الخميس*

_*Sayyiduna ibn Abbaas رضي الله عنهما* reports that on one occasion a person had laid his animal down for slaughtering and was sharpening his knife (in view of the animal)._ *Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم reprimanded him saying: “Do you want to kill this animal twice? Why didn’t you sharpen your knife before bringing your animal here to be slaughtered?”*

*_(Targheeb 3422)_*

*Ibn Sireen رحمة الله تعالى عليه* reports that *Sayyiduna Umar رضي الله عنه* saw a man dragging his goat along by its leg to slaughter it. *Sayyiduna Umar رضي الله عنه* reprimanded him saying: *“Woe be to you, why do you drag it? Lead it along towards its death in a beautiful manner.”*

Let's continues and busy our tongues with dua of Arafah day as advised by *Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم* by reciting:

*" لاإله الا الله وحده لاشريك له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شئ قدير.."*

_*La ilaha ila Allah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahu al-mulk wa lahu al-hamd, wa huwa `ala kulli shay’in qadir*_

Surayj reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, *“If Allah Almighty wills goodness for a servant, He honeys him.” It was said, “What is his sweetness?” The Prophet said, “Allah Almighty opens the door of righteous deeds for him before his death and then receives his soul in that state.”*

عَنْ سُرَيْج قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ *إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِعَبْدٍ خَيْرًا عَسَلَهُ قِيلَ وَمَا عَسَلُهُ قَالَ يَفْتَحُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَهُ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ ثُمَّ يَقْبِضُهُ عَلَيْهِ*

*‏سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ إِيمَانٌ بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ قِيلَ ثُمَّ مَاذَا قَالَ جِهَادٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ قِيلَ ثُمَّ مَاذَا قَالَ حَجٌّ مَبْرُورٌ*

1447 صحيح البخاري كتاب الحج باب فضل الحج المبرور
The Prophet ﷺ was asked, *“What is the best deed?” The Prophet said, “Faith in Allah and His Messenger.” It was said, “Then what?” The Prophet said, “Jihad in the way of Allah.” It was said, “Then what?” The Prophet said, “A blessed Hajj pilgrimage.”*

Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 1447

*_O Allah accept make easy for the Hujjaj all the Hajj rites and accept it from them all._*

*Abu Qatadah* رضي الله عنه once demanded payment from his debtor who then disappeared. *Abu Qatadah* رضي الله عنه located him and [the debtor] said:
‘I am unable to pay.’ After taking an oath from him that he is unable to pay, *Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah* رضي الله عنه said, I heard *Rasulullah* صلى الله عليه وسلم say:

_“Whomsoever wishes that Allah save him from the torments of the Day of Qiyamah should give respite to the insolvent or waive off the debt”_

*(Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1563)*

*Sayyiduna Abu Sa’id Al-Khudry* رضي الله عنه reports that *Rasulullah* صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

‘To take a bath on a Friday is binding (extremely emphasised) on every mature person.’

*(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 879 & Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1957)*

Today being the day of Friday, let us recite Surah Kahf and excessive durood on *Nabee* صلى الله عليه وسلم.
