The job I do isnāt stable, so Iāve trained myself to buy food and household items ahead of time. I never wanted my children to wake up one day and hear that there was no food in the house.
Then one issue happenedā¦ just ā¦24,000.
My daughter was in the hospital, and I didnāt have cash on me. I was waiting for my brother abroad to send money. The p@inful part is that I didnāt even ask my wife because the previous day I had strugglĀ£d to send her money so she could eat at work. I honestly believed she didnāt have anything.
Unknown to me, she had more than ā¦600,000 in her account.
We were both sitting in that hospital while I was looking for how to raise ā¦24,000 so my daughter could receive treatment. At the same time, I was dealing with my own serious health issues because of the stress and change in environment. Still, I kept paying bills until my daughter recovered.
But her response that day broke something in me.
I kept asking myself: while your child is lying in a hospital bed, how do you watch your husband struggle over ā¦24,000 when you have more than ā¦600,000 sitting untouched in your account?
Out of anger, I seized her phone and told her she wouldnāt get it back for three days. Less than 24 hours later, she went out and bought another phone for ā¦319,000.
That was the moment everything changed in my mind. I realised the problem was never that we didnāt have money. The problem was that I was fighting alone without knowing it.

My advice to the young generation is please never marry someone because of looks or out of emotion, make sure you seek the face of God and ask for direct because the worst mistake you will make in life is to marry the wrong person š
