Zeus Sports Ltd in partnership with Anambra state government have announced plans to stage Nigeria’s biggest boxing event with the World Boxing Federation (WBF) in Anambra state.

Emmanuel Emenogu, a renowned sports promoter revealed this while speaking with sports journalists in Awka on previous Friday.

Emenogu said the heavyweight boxing match christened the “Solution Boxing Bout” would feature Nigeria’s own Taiwo Agbaje and Thomas Masin from France in a WBF title fight.

He equally revealed that there would be a series of fights before the main event to give a full day of boxing entertainment.

Emenogu said WBF officially approved a heavyweight boxing match which Zeus Sports limited had decided to host in Anambra at the newly commissioned Solution Fun City, a state-of-the-art facility entertainment centre in Awka, the capital of Anambra.

The choice of Anambra's solution fun city, Kpakpando understands was as a result of its access to the world with a functional international airport, conducive hospitality environment and rich cultural history and heritages which would be a delight visitors from across the world.

“The match will mark a significant milestone because it is going to be the first of its kind to be hosted in Southeast and Nigeria in general and the second in the entire Africa.

The show promoter Hon. Odira Ezeh in his speech said the event is expected to attract significant global attention, with an estimated 120 million viewers set to watch the event from their respective homes in real time from the United States alone.

“The event will showcase the cultural richness and hospitality of Ndi Anambra and Southeast and counter negative perceptions about the alleged insecurity in the area.

“This is an opportunity to send a strong message that our people are peaceful and hospitable".

Hon. Ezeh also described Governor Chukwuma Soludo as a sports loving governor who had invested heavily on world clsss facilities which provided the right atmosphere for such international fight.

“Anambra is going to have the world in the state and our governor, Prof. Soludo will be the chief host,” he said.

In a groundbreaking announcement, Zeus Sports Ltd unveiled plans to host Nigeria’s most monumental boxing event in partnership with the World Boxing Federation (WBF) in Anambra, promising a global showcase of talent and culture.

Speaking to sports journalists in Awka on Friday, renowned promoter, Emmanuel Emenogu revealed that the headline event, “Solution Bout,” will feature Nigeria’s rising star Taiwo Agbaje squaring off against France’s Thomas Masin in a thrilling WBF heavyweight title clash.
