Do you keep them hooked enough to read till the end?

I continued watching the movie with keen interest.

Even when it crossed my mind that I had an exam coming up three days away.

An exam I seriously needed to prepare for. But I didn’t flinch. I didn’t pause.

I kept telling myself “after this episode”. I was so determined to find out

how everything would end that you’d think there was a noble prize waiting for me at the final episode.

Each episode ended in a way that sparked deep curiosity.

Just when you thought you had enough, something new happened that made you want more.

It kept pushing me to click on the next episode, again and again.

That curiosity never died. I kept watching until I finally finished the entire movie.

Now, this is a powerful lesson for you as a business owner.

If you want your readers to stay glued to your content, right from the first line to the very last word.

You must create curiosity, build interest, and make it almost impossible for them to stop reading.

Every paragraph of your copy must pull them in. Every paragraph must make them want to read the next one.

Because when your reader stays till the end, they're most likely to trust you… and buy your product.

As a Facebook creative or freelancer, you need to have a page. This page is where you will be posting your business, applying for jobs and other business stuffs.

Then your Facebook profile is on its own. This is the one you should use to catch cruise, post memes, drag people in the comments 🤭 and everything fun.

Don't make the mistake of using your profile for business. That is why there's a page.

Congratulations to me🎉
I got my first collaboration on LinkedIn.

So few days ago,

This connection reached out to me after going through my profile and portfolio.

He wouldn't stop telling me how he admired what I did here and

how he's convinced that I am the perfect one to collaborate on this project with.

So we hopped on a call, talked about the projects. I asked him some questions.

Before I knew it, I got the project. The process was very seamless that

I thought to myself,

“Maybe it's because my profile and portfolio have done most of the conversion.”

I always say this to my friends who are just starting out on this freelancing journey.

“Your priority shouldn't be to get jobs and get paid in foreign currency.

Your priority should be to build a strong portfolio.”

You can:

📌 Do free works
📌 Do volunteers
📌 Do free collaborations

Gather these work experience and use them to build your portfolio.

Once these are set in place, you'll be unstoppable.

After engaging for sometime on X, I decided to check my DM.

God knows I wasn't in a good mood that morning.

Because my X account was on indefinite shadow ban.

So it made me unable to post. I can only engage with my audience.

But what happened next changed my mood entirely.

As I was checking my DM, a message popped up from one Victor.

A follower on X. As I was reading it,

I didn't know when I started smiling so broadly that my dentition were all outside 😅

I love it when my skill yields positive results for my clients.

When my clients are happy, I'm happier. Because client satisfaction is the watchword.

Something happened last week. And anytime I remember it, I'm still left in awe.

So my friend recommended a client to me.

This client is a founder of a food production company.

After a 1 hour intensive consultation call, she hired me.

In my mind I was like, “just like that ma'am?”😳

But here's the catch…

Before she hired me, she requested I send her my LinkedIn profile.

I didn't know why she asked. But I forwarded my LinkedIn profile to her.

After going through my profile, She told me that she was really impressed.

That she loved the way I kept showing my expertise as a Copywriter and marketing strategist.

And just like that, she hired me.

→ No back and forth.
→ No request for a portfolio.

That incident made me realise that truly, visibility is currency.

Not just visibility. Also Brand positioning is the key.

Now the question is,

Are you positioning yourself the way you want to be perceived?

Wondering why you're stuck at a point? This could be the reason 👇

Over the weekend, I watched a thriller movie series. Titled “moving”.

A scene from the movie lives rent-free in my mind. This scenario shows where

The male lead is forced to overcome his fear of heights. To be able to fly.

In his words, he said,

“The reason I never flew was because I was scared of falling. Even before flying.”

And that was when it hit me.💡

→ The reason you’re stuck at a point isn’t because you’re not good enough.

→ Nor because you're not showing up.

→ It’s because you’re scared of failing ~ even before you try.

~ You overthink every move.
~ You doubt every idea.

~ You convince yourself, “it’s not the right time”.

when in reality, you’re just afraid of what might go wrong.

But here’s the truth most people don’t talk about…

Failure is not the opposite of success. It’s part of the journey that leads to success.

Think about it…

→ That course you're scared of taking on

→ That cold DM you're afraid of sending

→ That next big idea you're scared of working on.

→ That next step you're scared of taking.

These could be the reason you're stuck at one point.

If only you’d see failure as a stepping stone instead of a dead end.

you’d realize that every “no,” every flop, every missed shot, is just preparing you for the next “yes.”

How well do you handle objections?

Your Copy Has Just One Job — To Sell.

Everything else is secondary.

🔻You’re not writing to impress.

🔻You’re not writing to share random personal stories.

🔺You’re writing to make your reader take action.

And to make that happen, you must learn how to connect your product

to your reader’s deepest desire through your message.

That message is your copy.

So, how do you create that connection?

By eliminating every possible objection standing in your reader’s mind.

You do this by highlighting your product’s benefits in a way that makes your reader say,

“That’s exactly what I need!”

🔺Your copy job is simple but powerful.

🔺Don’t overcomplicate it.

🔺Forget the fluff.

🔺Focus on one thing: sell the transformation your product offers.

Because at the end of the day, your copy is meant to move people to buy.

10 types of people YOU should have in YOUR Circle. Number 5 is very important.

The power of making meaningful connections cannot be overemphasized.

Because it helps you in so many ways you don't even expect.

It leads you into rooms where your degree can't ordinarily take you to.

If you're someone whose desire is to be successful in life,

Below are the 10 types of people you should have in your circle ⬇️

● Those who have powerful connections.

● Those who have loads of money.

● Those who can leave whatever they're doing to rescue you even at

2am (even if they're in the middle of something important)

● Those who are business savvy risk-takers (to help you put more effort in your business)

● Those who understand the law of influence and persuasion
(and can create income at will . . .)

● Those who have great sense of humour (like a comedian 😎)

● Those who have a high bu****it meter

(Can look you in the eye and tell you you're wrong when you are)

● A resourceful information detective

(Just give them a few details and within some time, and you have all the information you need)

● Those who challenge your beliefs and force you to think critically.

● Someone who knows how to cook delicious meals (like me 😁)

And you're good to go.👌

P.S: How many of these people do you already have?

If you're tired of underperforming contents and you want your content to start performing better, Do this.👇

The key to a high performing content is not about the grammar or how formatted it is.

Each time you make a post, you end up with just 100+ impressions.

Over and over again.
And you keep wondering why it is so.

“But I apply every content hack. Why do I keep getting low impressions?”

The reason it is so, is because you're missing a key content ingredient.

What is that ingredient?
Relatability. (Yes that's it).

If you want your content to perform well, make it relatable.

I've learnt this over the years from top LinkedIn gurus.

The only reason their posts perform well is because of relatability.

Nobody engages on a post they don't relate to. Including you.

There are times you scroll past a post because you don't understand what it's saying right ?

Now that's exactly what I'm talking about.

To make your content relatable, here's what to do:

1️⃣ First of all define your audience: defining the audience you're writing to,

will help you structure your content to suit them.

Take for example you're writing to LinkedIn newbies, or business owners, etc.

2️⃣ What you wish to achieve with the content:

whether you're looking to achieve more followers or more leads.

This will keep your messaging on the right track.

When these 2 things are in place, your content will surely perform well.

Even more than you expect.

So the next time you want to write content, don't write like another LinkedIn professor.

Write like a human. Make it relatable.

Would you want your audience to scroll past your post or to engage with it?

The decision is yours to make.
