I didn't know Google Calendar could make scheduling this easy until I tried it myself.
One thing I've noticed is that timezone mistakes can quickly turn a simple meeting into a stressful situation.
Picture this.
You schedule a meeting for 10:00 AM in Nigeria.
Someone joining from the UK expects 10:00 AM their time.
Another attendee in Canada has a completely different time on their calendar.
Now people are asking where everyone is, and the meeting starts late.
The good news is that Google Calendar can prevent all of that.
I recently scheduled a meeting with people in Nigeria, the UK, and the US. I created one calendar event, selected my timezone, added everyone's email addresses, and sent the invite.
Google automatically displayed the correct meeting time for each guest based on where they were.
No separate calculations.
No "What time is that in my country?" messages.
No confusion.
Here's how you can do it too:
1. Open Google Calendar and create a new event.
2. Enter your meeting details and set the time using your own timezone.
3. Make sure the correct timezone is selected.
4. Add the email addresses of everyone attending.
5. Send the invite. Each person will see the meeting in their local time automatically.
It's a small feature, but it can save a lot of back-and-forth and help meetings start on time.
I also like that I can keep work schedules, client meetings, personal plans, and reminders in separate calendars while viewing everything in one place. It helps me stay organized without missing important events.
Little tools like this make a big difference when you're supporting busy professionals.
