I encourage you to take the lead in strengthening our drug distribution system, particularly in Anambra, where we host the largest open drug market in West Africa. To achieve this, our administration is investing in pioneering projects, including a Coordinated Wholesale Drug Distribution Center in Oba and a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Hub in Ogboji. ANNOUNCEMENT OF APPOINTMENT

The Mayor of Orumba North Local Government Area, Capt. Casmir Nwafor (Rtd), has approved the appointment of Hon. Damian Nwafor as the Special Assistant to the Mayor on Inter-Party Affairs.

Hon. Damian Nwafor, a former Leader of the Orumba North Legislative Council and a respected grassroots politician, hails from Okpeze in Orumba North. In his new role, he will be responsible for liaising with all political parties within the Local Government Area to foster peace, unity, and harmonious political cooperation, in line with the Mayor’s inclusive governance vision.

This appointment underscores the Mayor’s commitment to promoting a stable and collaborative political environment for the development of Orumba North.

Peter Obi Empowers Agulu Community with N90 Million Donations and Vehicles

Yesterday, in Agulu, the ADC Presidential hopeful, Mr. Peter Obi, reiterated his commitment to grassroots development by making notable donations to empower his community.

Mr. Obi donated ₦50 million to the Agulu Microfinance Bank to improve access to funds for SMEs, thereby stimulating economic growth and supporting business owners in the face of economic adversity.

Moreover, he donated ₦10 million to the Agulu Skill Acquisition Centre to provide vocational training and equip the youth with practical skills for self-sufficiency.

The Agulu Progressive Union (APU) women’s wing received ₦30 million to bolster their activities, welfare programs, and economic initiatives.

To fortify community security, Mr. Obi presented two brand new Innoson pickup trucks to the Agulu Vigilante Service, ensuring enhanced mobility for patrols and effective security operations.

These donations exemplify the strategic allocation of resources for meaningful community development.
