ANAMBRA DEPUTY SPEAKER COMMENDS GOV. SOLUDO FOR TRANSFORMING DERELICT FEDERAL HEALTH CENTRE IN NIBO INTO STATE REHABILITATION FACILITY

The Deputy Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chukwuma Pius Okoye, has applauded Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo for the ongoing transformation of an abandoned federal health facility in Nibo, Awka South Local Government Area, into a State Rehabilitation Centre.

The facility, which had been left unused for several years, drew the attention of Nibo community leaders, who raised concerns over its dilapidated condition and lack of utility.

In response, the Anambra State Government, under the leadership of Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, awarded a reconstruction contract valued at ₦417.2 million for its complete overhaul and upgrade.

Speaking on the development, Rt. Hon. Okoye, who represents the constituency where the project is located, described the intervention as a practical demonstration of Governor Soludo’s inclusive approach to governance.

“This is a clear testament to the Governor’s commitment to ensuring that no part of the state is left behind in the ongoing transformation agenda. The swift response to the Nibo community’s call reflects a government that listens and acts,” he said.

He further noted that when completed, the rehabilitation centre will address critical gaps in healthcare and social services, benefiting not just Nibo but surrounding communities as well.

The Deputy Speaker urged continued collaboration between the state government and host communities to ensure the effective utilisation and sustainability of public infrastructure across Anambra State.

Nwanayoeze Support Group Holds Strategic Meeting for November 8 Election

The Nwanayoeze Support Group, a grassroots political mobilization platform, engaged in a strategic meeting today to outline their plans for ensuring the victory of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Governor Soludo in the upcoming election on November 8.

This meeting solidified the Group's commitment to supporting APGA's governorship candidate, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, as they work towards his success in the November 8, 2025, gubernatorial election.

The meeting took place at the Amawbia residence of the Deputy Speaker and founder of the Group, Rt. Hon. Dr. Chukwuma Pius Okoye. He praised the group for their dedicated efforts and unwavering commitment to achieving victory for APGA in previous elections, emphasizing the importance of continued grassroots engagement.

He urged the members to keep up their good work by engaging more voters at the grassroots level, reminding them that elections are ultimately won at the polling units. Hon. Okoye encouraged the group to remain resilient in the face of challenges, noting that the time for reaping the rewards will come after hard work is put in. For now, he emphasized the need to stay focused on their primary goal, the re-election of Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

Anambra Deputy Speaker Attends Thanksgiving Service, Expressing Gratitude for God's Goodness, Mercy and Divine favour.

The Deputy Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Chukwuma Pius Okoye, on Sunday, 1 June 2025, attended a Thanksgiving Mass at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Enugwu Ukwu. This occasion offered him the chance to reflect on and express gratitude for the overwhelming goodness, mercy, and divine favour he has experienced in his life.

Accompanied by the Awka South APGA Chairman, Barr. Lawrence Chukwuma, his Campaign DG, Hon. Innocent Ekemezie, along with various team members and loved ones, Hon. Okoye arrived with heartfelt gifts, embodying a spirit of giving and celebration. Throughout the service, the joy was palpable as they were seen in joyful dances, sharing in the love and unity.

The Mass, officiated by Rev. Fr. Fabian Anumba, the Parish Priest, served as a reminder of the importance of gratitude and generosity. In a beautiful act of sharing, the priest distributed the Thanksgiving gifts to the parishioners, fostering a sense of unity and blessing among all attendees. Nwanayoeze Support Group Endorses Soludo, Ibezim for Second Term

The Nwanayoeze Support Group, a grassroots political mobilisation platform founded and sponsored by the Deputy Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Chukwuma Pius Okoye, yesterday endorsed Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo and his deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, for a second term in office.

The endorsement was made during a well-attended meeting held at the Deputy Speaker's residence, Amawbia, in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State. _ANAMBRA DEPUTY SPEAKER, OKOYE, DELIVERS ON PROMISE, DONATES GENERATOR TO NIBO WARD III.

The Deputy Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chukwuma Okoye, has donated a generator set to Nibo Ward III to provide a standby power source for the community's recently commissioned borehole water project.

This latest donation comes in fulfilment of the lawmaker's promise, made barely two months he commissioned and handed the water facility to Nibo community.

The generator set was formally presented to the community by Hon. Innocent Obinna, Director-General of the Deputy Speaker's campaign organization, on behalf of the lawmaker.

While handing over the generator, Hon. Obinna stated, "On behalf of the Deputy Speaker, I am delighted to hand over this generator to the good people of Nibo Ward III. This generator will ensure a steady supply of water for the residents, and we are confident it will greatly improve their lives."

Recall that this is the lawmaker's second water project in Nibo, following the earlier one at Umuenechi hall, Ward II, popularly known as Number One pump.

This gesture has been hailed as a testament to the lawmaker's commitment to the welfare and development of his constituents.

The generator set is expected to guarantee a consistent water supply, alleviating the sufferings of the residents who hitherto faced challenges accessing clean water.

The community has expressed gratitude to the Deputy Speaker for his dedication to their well-being, promising a continued support and to make the best use of the facility.

Okoye Extols Archbishop Ibezim's Virtues on His 62nd Birthday

In an honor marking the 62nd birthday of Archbishop of the Niger province and Anglican Bishop of Awka Dioceses, Most Rev. Alexander Chibuzo Ibezim, the Deputy Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Chukwuma Okoye, has extolled the virtues of the Archbishop, describing him as a "revered prelate" and a "giant of faith".
