BREAKING NEWS

Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has joined hundreds of demonstrators in a “Free Nnamdi Kanu” protest ongoing in Aba, Abia State, on Thursday, March 12, 2026.

According to live coverage by Sahara Reporters, the protest includes both Yoruba activists from the South-West and Nnamdi Kanu supporters from the South-East, demonstrating cross-regional solidarity for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, who is currently facing trial over separatist-related allegations.

The demonstrators were seen marching through the streets of Aba, carrying placards, banners, and chanting messages calling for Kanu’s freedom.
Security personnel were reported to be monitoring the protest as it moved through key areas of the city.

The demonstration is ongoing, and updates are expected as the situation develops.
