*OGENE IVITE AGULERI FOUNDATION SUPPORTS STUDENTS WITH SCHOLARSHIPS*
In a significant boost to education in Aguleri, the Ogene Ivite Aguleri Foundation (OIAF) has sponsored the WAEC registration for 23 students of W***y Obiano Secondary School, Aguleri, through the Ikemba Lawrence Okechi scholarship fund.
This initiative underscores OIAF's commitment to supporting education in the community.
In a related announcement, OIAF revealed plans to award university scholarships to five Aguleri individuals in honor of Prof. ABI Udedibie.
The foundation also named Miss Ekwoba Amarachi Favour, a medical student from Abor Ivite Aguleri, as the recipient of its inaugural award.
Mrs. Amaka Ikwuka, the principal, said, 'I am very impressed with the development. When I was newly posted, I faced the challenge of poor infrastructure. I moved to Eze Akajiofor and Enugwu PG. Later, I learned about the effort of AWF to fence the school. Prof. Mike Obiefune took the fencing project upon himself, and today the school is fenced. We prayed for Prof. Obiefune and made a video. Today, we appreciate him and OGENE IVITE FOUNDATION.
In addition, despite the expenses, I had another pleasant surprise when OGENE IVITE agreed to pay for the WAEC fees of the indigenous students. We discovered that we had a few non-indigenous students who are bright, and we took the complaint to him, and all the students benefited. They are 23 in number. As a mother, I wept the day I received the money because it's been a long time since I witnessed such support.
"Do you know how it feels when a child feels people in the diaspora care for them? Not only that, Prof. Obiefune promised Nwabunwane Ikechukwu, a boy who does well and takes first place in every competition, a university scholarship.
