War exposes weaknesses and forces societies to innovate—or perish.

In Ukraine, it’s slashing corruption and incompetence, driving military and tech advances.

Even Russia is scrambling to fix the corruption war has laid bare just as Ukraine had to fix the corruption laid bare in their military in 2014 at the onset of the war in the Donbas.

When survival's on the line, there’s no room for nepotism or greed. You deliver or die.

Remember, Ndi Igbo made massive strides during the Biafra war. But we don’t need war to achieve excellence.

Ndi Igbo must design systems that minimize and disincentivize greed, accepting that corruption is a human flaw.

EXPLORER MAGAZINE’s 22nd Edition is Out!

Hello readers & subscribers,

I’m pleased to welcome you to yet another exciting edition of your super reader-friendly digest, EXPLORER MAGAZINE.

This is our twenty-second edition, and just like others before it, it’s fully loaded. We have super focus on the newly appointed Group Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank PLC, Dame. Dr. Adaora Umeoji Nwokoye who happens to be the first female MD/CEO of the bank and the Igbo coinage of “Nwanyibuife”.

We have a special focus on her person, her attainment and the path to this height. It’s great to celebrate successes and growth. Dr. Adaora Nwokoye’s audacious rise, through the ranks offers great inspiration to millions of young girls and ladies across Nigeria and Africa.

We have a special focus also on the two youngsters doing it big in property and real estate generally in Nigeria. The duo of Dr. Bright Nwankwo and Engr. Dr. Kingsely Ojukwu’s wonders with the BRITKING Group of Companies and the success they’ve attained is one that should be celebrated. A US unveristy identified them and honored them with Doctorate Degree awards.

There’s a strong-worded open letter addressed to Mr. President, Ahmed Bola Tinibu. I authored it. I took time to write in plain English and descriptiveness, a detailed account of the reality in Nigeria today. I wrote because, as a Nigerian, living in Nigeria and feeling the pulse of fellow Nigerians, I could no longer remain silent. I did Mr. President the courtesy of knowing how bad things has become under his watch, just in case he isn’t aware.

We have coverages about the City of David, the Iluyomade’s and the Wigwe’s of Access Bank. We have detailed account of the happenstances that happened in the Catholic Diocese of Ahiara and the build-up to the installation of their substantive Bishop after fourteen solid years.

Zion Ministry led by Ebuka Obi has been roundly called out to be built upon deception. We have a feature on the imbroglio going on between the Economic Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC and the former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello on one side, and same anti graft agency with the former Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu on another side.

On the foreign scene, in the build-up to the US general elections, we have a special focus on that election and specifically, the lead candidates, the duo of the incumbent President, Joe Biden and the former President, Donald Trump. The choice before Americans is seemingly a slave’s choice. It has been featured as the editorial of this edition. We also have a special review about the 8th Balon D’or and Lionel Messi wonder.

We have a special coverage of the wedding tagged, Bliss of Love:GOGE2024 between Engr. Irene Ogechukwu & Engr. Joachin Eustace Chukwuezugo, the younger brother of the MD/CEO of EXPLORER MAGAZINE, Dr. Tobenna Obiano. The city of Awka was held on shutdown as the couple hosted family, friends and associates to the very colorful event.

This edition is fully loaded. As we often advise, get a glass of drink, calmly relax and enjoy our digest.

Cheers!

Tobenna Obiano, Ph.D
MD/CEO, EXPLORER MAGAZINE.
