When your husband says, “I’m not hungry,” but suddenly your food starts looking delicious.
You: “Honey, do you want some?”
Him: “No, I’m not hungry.”
Five minutes later… 👀
Him: “Let me just taste it.”
One taste becomes two… then three… before you know it, your food has officially become our food.
Marriage is truly about sharing especially when the food is yours!
Married people, please tell me I’m not the only one experiencing this! 😂

Episode 3: The Shadow of the Ancestors

News in a small village travels faster than a harmattan wind. By dusk, the compound of Chief Ezike, Obinna’s father, was thick with tension.

The elders sat in a semi-circle under the great *Udokwu* tree, their faces carved from stone.

"You sat in the dirt with an *Osu*," Chief Ezike grunted, his heavy bronze anklets clinking as he shifted in his carved throne.
"You brought shame to the ancestors who bled to keep our bloodline pure."

"The ancestors taught us justice, Father," Obinna argued, standing tall in the center of the Obi. "Not cruelty to those bound by chains they did not forge."

"It is not cruelty! It is the decree of the gods!" an elder barked, slamming his staff against the earth. "Touch an *Osu*, and you become as they are. Marry one, and your children will be cast out to rot in the sacred forest!"

Obinna looked at his father, then at the gathered men whose minds were sealed by centuries of fear. In his mind, he didn't see a curse; he saw Adaure's quiet strength, her steady eyes, and the warmth of a life that felt far more genuine than the rigid traditions around him.

"Then let the gods strike me down," Obinna said quietly, turning his back on the council of elders.

Behind him, his father stood up, his face pale with rage and horror.

"If you step toward her again, Obinna, you are no longer my son!"

Episode 2: Echoes at the Marketplace

Market day in Amakama was a tapestry of color and noise, but for Adaure, it was an exercise in invisible isolation. She stood at the far edge of the market square, her woven baskets of wild medicinal herbs placed on a grass mat. No freeborn would touch her hands to give her cowries; money was dropped onto the dirt, traded at a distance to avoid the transfer of the curse.
A group of young freeborn men, drunk on palm w**e, stumbled toward her stall. One of them kicked her basket, scattering her carefully dried leaves into the dust.

"Why bring your untouchable feet to our market?" he sneered, laughing as his friends cheered.

Adaure quietly knelt to gather her herbs, her face a mask of silent endurance. She had lived this story every day of her life.
Suddenly, a tall figure stepped between her and the bullies. Obinna's frame blocked the sun, his eyes burning with a dark, dangerous fury.

"Leave her," Obinna commanded, his voice echoing over the market chatter.

"Obinna?" the ringleader gasped, bewildered. "She is Osu! Why do you lower yourself to defend a servant of the shrine?"

"I defend human dignity," Obinna snapped, stepping closer until the drunken youth backed away in confusion and fear.
As the crowd dispersed into hushed whispers, Obinna turned and knelt beside Adaure in the dirt, picking up the scattered leaves. Their fingers brushed for a fraction of a second. An electric shock passed between them. A silent declaration that neither could now undo.

Episode 1: The Whispering Stream

The boundary between Amakama and the sacred grove of Ala was not marked by stone or fence, but by the subtle shift in the air. On the freeborn side, life hummed with the clatter of bronze anklets, the laughter of children, and the proud footsteps of Nwadiala (the freeborn).
On the other side lay the quiet realm of the Osu, men and women dedicated body and soul to the deity, cut off forever from the warm fold of the village.
Obinna, the eldest son of an Ozo title holder, knew the rules before he knew how to hold a hunting spear. Do not share a cup with them. Do not sit on their mats. Above all, never let your heart wander across the line.
Yet, on a humid afternoon near the Whispering Stream, Obinna’s hunting dog chased a grasscutter into forbidden shade. Pursuing the hound, Obinna broke through the dense foliage and stopped dead in his tracks.
Standing in the ankle-deep water was Adaure. Her skin possessed the deep luster of polished mahogany, and her eyes held a calm, haunting clarity. She held his panting dog gently by its braided collar, holding out a calm hand to keep the beast steady.

"He ran past the boundary shrine," Adaure said softly, her voice low like the rustle of dry palm leaves. She did not bow her head in shame as the village taught her kind to do.

"I... I am sorry," Obinna managed to say, stepping forward, his eyes locked on hers. For the first time in his twenty-two years, the ancient law felt less like an unshakeable truth and more like a heavy iron cage.
