What Is Subcutaneous Fat?

Your body has two primary kinds of fat Visceral fat (which is around the organs) & Subcutaneous fat (which is under the skin).

Subcutaneous fat has five main functions :

✓ It’s the one way that your body stores energy.

✓ It functions as a padding to protect your muscles and bones from the impact of hits or falls.

✓ It serves as a passageway for nerves and blood vessels between your skin and your muscles.

✓ It insulates your body, helping it regulate temperature.

✓ It attaches the skin to the muscles and bones with its special connecting tissue.

Subcutaneous fat is an important part of your body, but if your body is storing too much of it, you may be at a higher risk for lifestyle diseases like heart disease, strokes, high BP, Type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea, fatty liver disease & certain types of cancer.

Reasons for high Subcutaneous fat are eating more calories than you burn, sedentary lifestyle, little muscle mass, get little aerobic activity & if you are insulin resistant.

*Tips To Reduce Subcutaneous Fat 😗

✓ Have Portion controlled meals

✓ Don't keep gaps between your meals. Eat small meals every 3 hours.

✓ Workout 30 minutes at least 5 times a week and be active throughout the day.

The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall. Just like a tree that falls, but its roots remain strong, and it rises again, stronger and taller than before.

Imagine a small bird, building its nest on a tree branch. The nest is fragile, and the branch sways in the wind. But the bird doesn't give up. It builds its nest, day by day, twig by twig. And when the wind blows, it holds on tight, adjusting its nest, making it stronger.

Life is like that branch, swaying in the wind. We fall, we fail, we lose our way. But we can rise again, stronger and wiser. We can build our lives, day by day, moment by moment. And when the winds of adversity blow, we can hold on tight, adjust our path, and make our lives stronger and more beautiful.

So don't give up, dear one. Don't lose hope. You are the bird, building your nest, rising again, stronger and taller than before. You are the tree, with roots that go deep, and a spirit that soars high. You are the glory, rising every time you fall."
