A healthy relationship involves the following.
1- Mutual Financial support.
This is very crucial for the growth and future of the relationship. Relationship is not a poverty alleviation program, support your partner at all times.
2- Share The same Faith and Ideologies.
It is very important to date people who share your belief system and ideologies to avoid being blackmailed or blackmailing change someone’s lifestyle or religion.
3- Active Communication.
Many (especially guys) may kick against this but the truth is, healthy relationship requires alot of communication and it is hardly boring if the love is true.
4- No one is too big to apologize.
Your partner may not always say they are sorry, but some of them say it through gifts or gestures. Apologies are important when we are wrong.
5- Being each other’s biggest fan.
Nothing beats staring your partner in the eyes and knowing they are your biggest supporter is priceless.
6- There is privacy not Secrecy.
Discussing personal problems that reveals your partner’s weaknesses or paints them badly is wrong and should be your last resort.
7- Constant jokes, laughter and Gossip.
If you cannot comfortably gossip with your partner or playfully call your partner crack names like m||mu amongst others, then there’s a problem.
8- Zero Domestic Violence.
I don’t need to say much on this subject. Domestic violence is unacceptable and should never be tolerated.
9- Family and Friends know their place.
Inform your family about your relationship but do not involve them in personal issues. Your partner is not dating your family members.
10- There is Appreciation and Contentment.
Being grateful and expressing gratitude for your partner’s effort towards making you happy is commendable.
11- Zero threats of breakup.
Partners that break up ten times in 6 months or jump at any opportunity to threaten for a break. Very tox|c behavior.
12- There is inner peace.
It doesn’t matter how bad your day went or the things you are going through, the moment you are with them, there’s peace.
If you have tried your best and none of these qualities seems to show up in your partner.
