There is a huge knowledge gap between the poor and the rich.

Most times, people don’t act because they don’t know the how, when and where.

This questions are crucial and should be answered to give you a definite path. Money should be a tool, not the treasure to be sought after.

Money isn’t the purpose, it is a fuel to the destination.

Most people don’t know their “why” hence money become theirs. This slows down ignition and keep them stuck in the cycle of money-debt.

Think about it, does Tony Elumelu make money because he just wants to have money?

The valid answer is “no”

He has a vision so great and he needs money to fund it.

Look the money comes.

If your vision or purpose doesn’t look great or feels very little, dream again

Answer the question of “why” and your ignition starts.

All I just said is, “know your why”

E get why…

Start investing early, e get why…

Yesterday at work, a man walked in to make an enquiry. He is a pensioner and wanted to invest in real estate with his GRATUITY.

We got talking and the main reason he is investing is to get the money liquidated at the estimated value in a year. Yes, that is possible.

But that is not land banking.

Land banking is buying land and holding it for years without developing it, waiting for the area to grow in value.

Investors do it where they expect infrastructure, population growth, or zoning changes to drive prices up. The profit comes from appreciation over time, not from rental income or immediate use. It’s low maintenance but ties up capital and depends heavily on location and timing.

Back to my story…

He was hellbent on that after so many advice and explanations about land banking.

He wanted his money after a year and immediately, that is possible if there is a buyer for the land as at the time he wants to sell.

The chances of that is very slim.

That is because, real estate investing is not liquid. I mean, it is not a bank that you would walk in and walk out with your cash at hand. The cash would come but you need to wait.

I asked him if he had a land before

He also mentioned that he bought a land as at 2013 for 1.2 million and the estimated value of that very land in 2026 is 50 million.

A 13 years wait!!

Not one year.

Well, he said he would invest his money in US stocks instead….

That is a story for another day

Invest early
It saves you from stress and you won’t have to make decisions out of distress.

Ask an average Nigerian…

How would you make money??

The first thing coming to their mind is to start a business, a business line that might be saturated.

In Benin city, an average lady wants to sell hair, do makeup or nails.

An average guy wants to start a business.

Not that businesses are bad…

They aren’t the only means to wealth.

Check wealthy men, they have something to do with the stock market.

I am saying to you today…

Invest in stock market, money market funds, treasury bills and most importantly lands.

Happy Weekend

It is story time.

I have known about stock investment from quite sometime taken it seriously until…

I saw a portfolio of someone who had made and
re-invested the 1M into the stock market.

That encouraged me and I started investing again.

But, most people feel that they need a huge amount of money to invest in the stock market.

That is a lie.

The solution is to pick out 4 good company and spread your investments across.

For example

₦50,000 Beginner Portfolio

Spread it across 4 companies:
₦15k – GTCO: One of Nigeria’s biggest banks, pays dividends consistently.
₦15k – Zenith Bank: Strong balance sheet, known for good returns.
₦10k – MTN Nigeria: Largest telecom company. You use their service, now own a piece of it.
₦10k – Dangote Cement OR BUA Cement: Bet on construction and infrastructure growth.

Chakam📸

You can even go lower than that

You have invested in stocks

This is not a financial advice, just showing you a possibility of investing with the little you have.

Investing in real estate shouldn’t something you are contemplating. Your future self and kids will appreciate that decision.
