For interview di politician and business man wey bin dey hope to takeover from Govnor Godwin Obaseki tok say im dey disappointed.

"I dey disappointed sake of say I bin tink say we go get a good transparent and effective conduct of elections.

E add say "as day one, I see how tins dey unfold, e con dey clear to me say dem no go do di election to dey free and fair."

"So I dey very disappointed, e con dey be like say we dey get di worst election for di history of our kontri wey happun for Edo state."

"I tink say dis fit be di worst election wey dem dey conduct in di history of Nigeria."

Im give example say one of dos places na Ologo, Ikpoba Okha - "Di total number of accredited voters for dat place for Saturday election na 156 (One Hundred and Fifty-six) di results wey dem declare give APC 2,110 and PDP 57.

Im allege say dis kain of mago-mago happun for like 50 polling units wia pipo wey do accreditation to vote no reach di number of results wey dem announce and e no dey possible.

E add say if Inec no change wit dis collabo wey dem dey do "we no go accept injustice, we be peace loving pipo for di PDP, me and my running mate we be gentle men, like say dem do di election peacefully, free and fair, we ready to take di outcome of di election."

Im explain say di Govnor Godwin Obaseki go Inec office to do tok-tok wit di Resident Electoral Commission (REC) to ask am why dem stop di collation of di votes and di REC no tok or do anytin instead im meet wit di DIG police and afta dem finish im waka comot.

"Na sake of di intervention of him (Godwin Obaseki) wey make Inec tok say dem go resume collation by 10 a.m for morning."

Im allege say APC don take over all di institutions wey dey govern di electoral process.

Inec declare Monday Okpebholo winner of Edo governorship election.

Di Independent National Electoral Commission (Inec) don declare Monday Okpebholo winner of di Edo state 2024 governorship election.

Okpebholo beat im closest rival Asue Ighodalo of di People's Democratic Party by scoring 291,667 votes.

PDP candidate Asue Ighodalo score 247,274 votes and Labour Party candidate Olumide Akpata wey finish third score 22,763 votes.

Na di State returning officer Prof Faruk Adamu Kuta, Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Minna declare Okpebholo winner of di election.

Early analysis of results upload for Inec IReV portal bin don show say di Peoples Democratic Party, Asue Ighodalo, and im All Progressives Congress counterpart, Senator Monday Okpebholo, dey run for one tight race.

But Okpebholo edge out Ighodalo. Labour Party candidate Olumide Akpata carry third.

For im campaign promises, Okpebholo bin tok about issue of insecurity, economy, infrastructural development, educational development as some of di tins wey im go focus if im win di election.

Okpebholo explain im plans to be say im go use technology fight insecurity.

Insecurity be one area wey dey worry for di state, but di govnor-elect bin say e go tackle am both manually and wit technology if e win.

E bin also tok about Marginalisation of Edo pipo, "I wan become govnor of Edo state becos Edo never dey marginalised as im dey like dis bifor.

Based on wetin Okpebholo bin tok for di interview, Im first task and priority if im win and assume office, na say im go declare "state of emergency on our roads, insecurity for Edo state and on di education sector".

Okpebholo bin cast im ballot for Unit 03, Ward 1, Uwessan for Esan Central Local govment Area of Edo state wia e come from.

E bin poll 102 votes, while both PDP Ighodalo and di Labour Party candidate, Akpata, gbab one vote each.

In line with the Governor’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of workers in the State, Governor Godwin Obaseki has approves date for payment of 13th month salary for Edo workers

… December Salary to be paid Dec. 11; 13th month salary, Dec. 27

The timely payment of workers salaries has been sustained for the past seven years. It is pertinent to state the Governor Obaseki-led administration has kept fate with payment of salaries. In this period, there has not been a default, as workers receive their salary on or before the 26th of every month. Same thing applies with pensioners in the State.
