He enforces restriction to govt offices for unvaccinated persons

The Edo State Government has commenced enforcement of restrictions on large public gatherings for persons without evidence of COVID-19 vaccination, starting with government offices across the state.

This is a part of intensified efforts to contain the pandemic and protect the majority of Edo citizens against the deadly virus, following progressive rise in the number of infections and mortalities in the state.

Civil servants and visitors in government offices in the state capital, Benin City, without proof of at least one dose of the vaccination were prevented from accessing Government House, Blocks C and D at the State Secretariat, among others.

Naira-throwing Yahoo Boys arrested in Benin

Operatives of the Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), have arrested suspected internet fra*dsters who in late August rained plenty naira notes in front of Kada Cinema in Benin City, Edo State.

The suspects, who were captured in a viral video standing on top of their cars and throwing Naira notes into the air, were arrested on Sunday, September 12, during a similar mission at the same venue.

The EFCC did not specifically identify them, but said they were among the 31 internet fra*dsters arrested in two separate locations in Benin City sequel to actionable intelligence.

Items recovered from the suspects at the point of arrest include 13 exotic cars, including: Lexus ES 350, Lexus 350, Lexus RX 350, Lexus ES 350, Lexus RX 350, Lexus RX 350, Lexus IS 350, Toyota Venza, Mercedes C300, Mercedes ML350, Range Rover Evoque, GLK 350 4Matic and Toyota Camry.
