Through the Storm, Into the Light 🌤️

Dear Friend,

If you’ve been through thick and thin, that means you’ve seen hard days and better days. You’ve felt pain, confusion, and maybe even felt like giving up. But guess what? You’re still here. That alone makes you strong.

Let me tell you a short story :

🌱 The Bamboo Tree

There’s a type of bamboo tree in China that doesn’t grow at all for the first four years. You water it, you take care of it, but nothing comes out of the ground. People may even laugh and say, “You’re wasting your time.”

But in the fifth year—BOOM!—it shoots up and grows 90 feet tall in just six weeks.

Did it grow 90 feet in six weeks?
No.
It was growing all along, underground. Its roots were getting stronger, deeper, and ready for the right time.

Your Journey Is Like That Bamboo

Every tear, every loss, every silent prayer—you were growing, even when you couldn’t see it. Life was building your roots: your strength, your patience, your wisdom.

So here’s my advice to you:

1. Don’t Rush the Process

Healing takes time. Growth takes time. You’ve already survived so much. Now, trust the process. Don’t compare your journey with others. Your story is unique and powerful.

2. Be Proud of How Far You've Come

Sometimes we focus too much on what we don’t have or where we haven’t reached. Pause. Look back. You’ve made it through things that would break others. That is something to be proud of.

3. Keep Good People Close

No one makes it alone. Surround yourself with people who listen, who care, who make you laugh. Even one kind soul can make a big difference. If you don’t have that yet—be that person, and your tribe will find you.

4. Speak Kindly to Yourself

You’ve been through battles. Don’t fight yourself too. Speak love, not hate, to the person in the mirror. Tell yourself, “I am enough. I am healing. I am growing.”

5. Use Your Pain for Purpose

Maybe your story can help someone else. Maybe your scars will give another person hope. You went through fire, and you came out with light. Don’t hide it—share it.

In Conclusion…

You are not broken. You are becoming.
You are not weak. You are wounded but walking.
And each day you choose to get up again—you are winning.

There are some women aged 33 and above that, if you $leep with them, you’ll be the one begging for a breakup.

Yes, my brother. That thing you think is just a simple “knack and go” may end up becoming the beginning of your lifetime commitment — by force, not by choice.

You see, your own plan is simple. You just want to have fun, collect small cruise, enjoy the night, and disappear by morning.
But unknown to you, she has been on a serious spiritual assignment. Since crossover night on December 31st, she has been praying and fasting earnestly with one prayer point:
“Lord, locate me with my husband this year.”

And guess what? Heaven received her petition — and unfortunately, your joystick is the one God decided to use as a sign. 😭

The moment you sleep with her:

She’ll spiritually tie your destiny with fried rice, soft chicken, and that chilled malt.

She’ll start calling you “hubby mi” and begin posting your shadow, your belt, or your slippers on her WhatsApp status.

Before you even wake up, she has already cleaned your house, washed your singlet, rearranged your kitchen, and greeted your landlord like she’s your wife already.

Next thing, you’ll hear:
“Baby, I had a vision. God told me clearly — you are the one. You’re my husband.”

You, that only came for cruise, now suddenly find yourself inside her family WhatsApp group as “our beloved in-law.” 😂

If you try to run, she’ll hit you with:
“After everything I’ve done for you? My time, my body, my prayers — this is how you want to pay me back?”

And if by any mistake you get her pregnant? My brother, forget argument. Just wear your native wear and carry yourself to the pastor — because naming ceremony is already being planned.

See ehn, this is not an age-$haming matter. But the truth is, some women in their 30s are no longer playing. They’ve done the hookûps, the flings, the trials — now they’re on a divine mission. Once they meet a man with sense and a working joystick, they switch into full wife mode.

So if you know you’re not ready for “till d€ath do us part,” think twice before you dive in.

S1eep!ng with some 33+ women is not a one-night stand — it’s a covenant.

Pipe at your own r!sk. Some of them don’t do one-night stands anymore — they do one-night-stand-to-altar! 💍😄.

Young man wey wan go far for life, make you hear word.

If you don dey reason say time don reach to settle and face life serious-ly, abeg make I yarn you something important.

Listen well.

If you know say you no get strong will, your self-control no too strong like that, abeg no go rent house for certain areas, no matter how cheap the place be.
Cheap no mean say e go help your destiny.

Instead, target areas wey rent high small, but the kind people wey dey there go open your eyes.
You go dey rub shoulders with people wey dey do better, dey live better, dey reason differently.

You wan pay rent? No wahala.
Join head with other young men wey get sense like you – una fit split rent, share bills.
E better make una dey squeeze small but dey grow, than to dey comfortable inside environment wey go dull your fire.

Because truth be say…

The people wey you dey follow talk everyday,
The environment wey your eye dey see steady,
The energy wey surround you,
The kind conversation wey full your ears –
Na all these things dey shape your future.

Dem fit ginger you to go harder,
Or dem fit make you relax say “life no too hard like that.”

My brother, position yourself where challenge go dey.
Stay close to people wey go make you feel say you never even start.

When you see how dem dey live, you go dey inspired to upgrade.
You go begin get clearer picture of who you suppose be.

No dey fear to enter environment wey bigger than you.
Na there you go grow pass your current level.

Because one thing sure –
You go achieve faster if you dey surrounded by people wey don reach where you dey hustle to reach.

Important Safety Advice for Women Living Alone

As a woman, living alone can be empowering, but it also comes with certain risks—especially when it comes to privacy and safety. One of the most important things you can do is protect your personal information, particularly from strangers or people you don’t know very well.

You should never casually mention that you live alone, especially to new acquaintances, service people, or anyone who doesn't absolutely need to know. Some people may seem harmless but could be secretly observing, plotting, or waiting for the right moment to take advantage. Sadly, not everyone has good intentions.

I just came across a heartbreaking story about a young lady who was targeted because it became known that she lived alone. A group of men broke into her home, $exuálly a$$aulted her, and stole her personal belongings—including gaining access to her bank account and emptying her funds. It's a brutal reminder that we live in a world where ev!l truly exists, and we must be proactive about our safety.

🚨 Practical Safety Tips for Women Living Alone:

1. Keep Your Privacy Sacred
Avoid talking about your living situation publicly—especially on social media or in casual conversations.

2. Be Mindful of Visitors
Only allow trusted people into your space. If a repairman or delivery person is coming, have someone on standby (even if just on a phone call).

3. Secure Your Home
Use quality locks, and if possible, install a peephole, camera, or motion-sensor light at your door. Always double-check that windows and doors are locked.

4. Create the Illusion That You're Not Alone
Say things like “we live here” or “my brother’s around” when speaking to unfamiliar people. It helps create uncertainty and caution in strangers’ minds.

5. Have Emergency Contacts on Speed Dial
Keep your phone charged, location services on, and a trusted friend or family member aware of your schedule or movements.

6. Be Smart with Bank Information
Avoid keeping ATM cards or bank login details in easy-to-find places. Set up transaction alerts to monitor unauthorized access.

7. Trust Your Instincts
If someone or something feels off, don’t ignore that gut feeling. It’s often right.

Living alone should be a peaceful and safe experience—not something that makes you a target. We can’t control others’ actions, but we can take control of our boundaries and safety. Stay alert, stay discreet, and above all—stay safe.

🏡 Best Way to Make Local Popcorn 🍿 at Home

Ingredients:

Popcorn kernels (dried corn specifically for popping)

Vegetable oil (like groundnut or sunflower oil)

Sugar (optional, for sweet flavor)

Salt (optional, for a savory taste)

Butter or margarine (optional, for extra flavor)

Tools:
A deep pot with a tight-fitting lid

A wooden spoon or spatula

A large bowl for serving

👩🏽‍🍳 Step-by-Step Method:

1. Preheat the Pot:
Place a clean, dry pot on the stove over medium heat. Allow it to heat up for about a minute. The pot should be hot, but not smoking.

2. Add Oil:
Pour in a small amount of vegetable oil—just enough to lightly coat the bottom of the pot. About 2–3 tablespoons should do for a medium-sized pot. Let the oil heat for a few seconds.

3. Test with a Kernel (Optional but Smart):
Drop in one kernel of popcorn to test the oil. If it starts to spin or pop after a few seconds, the oil is ready.

4. Add the Popcorn Kernels:
Pour in your desired amount of popcorn (not more than one even layer across the pot). Stir gently to coat the kernels evenly in oil.

5. Cover the Pot:
Place the lid tightly on the pot to trap the heat. The popping will begin shortly.

6. Shake Regularly:
Every 5–10 seconds, gently lift and shake the pot back and forth. This prevents the kernels from burning and helps all of them pop evenly.

7. Listen Closely:
When the popping slows down (about 2 seconds between pops), turn off the heat. Leaving it too long may cause burning.

8. Add Flavor (Optional):

If you like sweet popcorn, sprinkle sugar immediately while the pot is still hot, and stir quickly so it melts and coats the popcorn.

For a savory version, add salt and/or a bit of melted butter or margarine, then stir thoroughly.

9. Serve:
Pour into a wide bowl to cool for a minute or two, then enjoy!

💡 Tips for Perfect Local Popcorn:

Don’t use too much oil—too much makes the popcorn soggy.

Always use medium heat to avoid burning the kernels.

If using sugar, add it after popping (not before), or it may burn.

Now enjoy your popcorn 🍿 with any juice 🧃🥤🥤 of your choice with friends and families.

I have been there before and I know what it feels like.

Dealing with depression can be really hard, but you're not alone. Here are some simple things that might help you feel a bit better:

1.Talk to Someone

Open up to someone you trust – like a friend, family member, or even a counselor. Just talking about how you feel can make a big difference.

Get professional help if you can – a therapist can help you understand your feelings and find ways to cope.

2.Take Care of Yourself

Do one small thing at a time – if everything feels too much, just focus on one little task. It helps build confidence.

Be kind to yourself – don’t be too hard on yourself. You’re doing your best, and that’s enough.

Move your body – even a short walk or dancing to your favorite music can lift your mood.

Go outside if possible – fresh air and a bit of sunshine can help clear your mind.

3.Stay Connected

Keep in touch with people – send a text, make a call, or hang out with someone when you can. You don’t have to go through this alone.

Join a support group – sometimes it helps to talk with others who understand what you’re feeling.

4.Just Remember

You’re not alone – lots of people deal with depression. It’s okay to ask for help.

It’s okay to not feel okay – don’t feel guilty for struggling. Healing takes time.

You’ve been strong before – you've made it through hard times, and you can do it again.

And if things ever feel too overwhelming, please reach out to a crisis hotline or emergency services.

You are strong. You matter. You deserve love and support. Remember, na who give up fú.¢k up.

Person go get big idea. Maybe na app wey go help market women, or better farm plan wey go feed community. But once e think of money to start – e weak. No sponsor, no investor, no loan. That idea go just remain for head like dream. No action.

And just like that, dream don die.

How many people don drop out of school because money no dey? Bright students wey for become lawyer, engineer, or even president – but school fees chase dem comot. No help, no scholarship, no support.

Many people get better plan, but no capital. So, dem go either start small small or forget the dream completely.

4. Talented, But No Platform
