Ahead of the Forthcoming National and State Congress of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Leaders across the State are warming up for the restructuring of the party wards, local governments and state executive members in a bid to reposition the party ahead of 2027.

In Edo state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party ( PDP), after wider consultations across the state, the leading and frontline social media influencers body of the party in the entire state, “Edo State Social Media Force” has joined forces with the leadership of the party to reposition the party and zone the chairmanship position to Edo South. Any external forces that try or attempt to sabotage the process of this great vision of the party would definitely meet Waterloo.

"We need a state Chairman who is people oriented and have the interest of the party at heart, a Chairman that will pilot the affairs of the party without sentiment, bias, fear or favour. a Chairman that has been financially supportive to the party, a Chairman must be a committed PDP member with proven record, who is not self centered and disrespectful, a futuristic Chairman who will not only plan for today but also for the party future. A Chairman who can look inward and settle issues, An exemplary leader that with a large heart to accommodate divergent opinions, a Leader of all Leaders!

We need an insightful Chairman who can read the future and provide a rational decision for the good and advancement of the party. We are where we are today because of lack of proper planning and permutations. today we have landed as opposition with members and Leaders leaving the party in droves.

Since the inception of democracy in 1999, No Edo South person has assumed the position of the state chairman of the party, PDP. It is pertinent to note that zoning the chairmanship to Edo South at this crucial time is very pertinent. While High Chief Tom Ikhimi was a member of PDP board of trustee, the chairmanship seat was occupied by Edo Central.

It is important to know as well that Chief Lucky Igbinedion as a member of the board of trustees from Edo South, its only reasonable for someone capable from the South to occupy the seat. Edo north and Central have serve out their tenure respectively.
We the members of Edo state social media force strongly stand with the decision of the majority of the party leaders to reposition the party rightfully and progressively. We don't want any external crisis to erupt because Our leaders have spoken.

The leaders should resolve and choose one person from Edo South whom they know can rule with the people at heart, who is not selfish and must be a grassroot politician. Not a person who solely depends on the people to run the party affairs and enrich himself.

2027 is not far from reach anymore. It is not time for personal/Selfish aggrandizement but for the good and progress of the party. While High Chief Tom Ikhimi was a member of the BOT, an Edo Central person was the chairman. So having Chief Lucky Igbinedion as BOT member should not be a yardstick to deny Edo South of the chairmanship Position.

As we the Edo State Social Media Force aligned with the progressive decisions of the majority of the leaders across the state, we urged the leadership to unanimously look into the requirements of qualification asserted above to occupy such a chairmanship position for the demonstration of hope, readiness and rescue spirit to Edo people and Nigerians in general.

EDO SOUTH PDP EXPANDED LEADERSHIP MEETING: Edo South PDP Holds Enlarge leadership meeting led by Imasogie.

____ Imasogie stressed on the need to consolidate our base, strengthening the party unity, positioning the party ahead of the congresses, future electoral victory as well as the by-election.

In a bid to fostering unity among party members and leaders of PDP ahead of upcoming congresses and by- election, Edo South PDP held an expanded leadership meeting where 2 leaders per wards were mobilized as well as other party stakeholders across the 7 local government in Edo South ably led by the Edo PDP South Senatorial leader, Pa Etose Dickson Imasogie.

The meeting which attracted over 200 leaders across the Edo South was hugely successful as leaders echoed voice of encouragement and appreciation to loyal party members and leaders whose financial contribution have sustained the party so far.

The opening prayer was offered by Elder A.O Otabor. After which the accreditation were taken. The seven LGA were heavily represented, a testament to the popularity of the Party in Edo South.

Speaking at the meeting, the Edo South PDP Senatorial Leader, Pa Etose Dickson Imasogie stressed on the need to consolidate our base, strengthening the party Unity, Positioning the party ahead of the Congresses, future electorial victory as well as the upcoming by-election.

The undisputed leader, Pa Etose Dickson Imasogie extended heartfelt appreciation to everyone who are still loyal and committed to the party cause. Stressed further, that the upcoming by-election will be a test Case and the rigging machinery of the Apc will be fully checkmate.

Further stressed on the need to reward and compensate loyal party members during the upcoming September congresses .

Member of the state caretaker committee, Hon. Harrisson Omagbon welcomed members to the meeting. Stress further, forthcoming congresses will be different from the old fashioned. He said only genuine members will be elected to the Party Excos.

In his contribution, Hon. Chris A. said the PDP must be vigilant as inec commences continuous voters registration on August 18.

He said the moral of the members were down after the last election was massively rigged for the Apc. He thank God that now the party is fully back on his feet.

Dr. Oni Edigin thanks members for their steadfastness and commitment despite challenges.

Elder(Hon) A. O. Otabor, said members should not be discourage. He added that the PDP have learnt from the past mistake. He said the PDP will teach the opposition a bitter lesson in the coming election. He said our elected members who betrayed us and decamped to the Apc will be disgrace in the next election.

Hon. Larry ogieva, said PDP is the only party with widespread presence across villages in Edo State. He said ovia federal constituency election is a must win for the PDP.

On the forthcoming congress, he buttressed Pa Etose assertion. He said no leader should be allowed to foist their minions on the party as executives. He said only loyal members should be consider .

Hon. Pat Ero, said a lot of pdp members are angry because of lack of sound leadership in the state excos. He urged the party leaders to show more commitment to the plight of the party members.

Rev Ikpomnwosa Akpitanyi, the PDP candidate for ovia federal constituency said result will count. He urge party members to go all out and mobilise voters for the August 16th by Election.

The verdict of the apex court yesterday on Edo State election petition came as a surprise despite the wantom evidence of irregularities and manipulations that took place in the 21st September ,2024 Edo governorship election.

The judiciary which ought to be the last hope of the common man is now the enemy of the common man. Nigerians have lost interest in the justice system due to the injustice that are being carried out by lawyers and judges of the arm of government.

Edo state governorship election was marred with so much electoral malpractices with evidence to show. This case would have been the best spotlight for the judiciary to redeem their image but they have succeeded in rubbing it further in the mud of corruption.

The judgement came as a shock knowing fully well that the people had believed that the judiciary would do justice to the case rather reverse is the case. The Supreme Court has helped to further plunge Nigeria into one party system through her judgment where the voices of the opposition will be silenced.

For a better Nigeria to emerge ,our Judiciary system must be reformed as well as our electoral institution that has become a tool in the hands of the few in this country. In order to ensure quick delivery of good dividend of democracy, great efforts must be invested into the overhauling for all institutions that are saddle with the responsibility within the electoral system to work towards building the future of the people come 2027.

To all PDP faithful,this is not the time to cast stones on one another but the best time to unite. Edo State Social Media Force, being the leading and frontline Social Media Influencers body in the state will never change nor move aimlessly to any party. ______ There Shall not be inappropriate or unwarranted interference with the Judiciary process, nor shall Judicial decisions by the court be subject to revision.

As the Judgement reserved to a date to be communicated to both parties, the leading Social Media influencers body in Edo State, "Edo State Social Media Force" has reminded the Judiciary of their basic principles on the independence of theirs to foster transparency and accountability within the Judiciary as the good people of Edo state, Nigerians and international communities awaits the recovery of PDP stolen mandate in September 21st , 2024.

95% of Nigerians already believes that corruption is hampering the delivery of justice in Nigeria as the people perceive the Judiciary as the most corrupt public service in Nigeria, and such narrative or impressions can be change or diverted if the supreme Court rewrite the wrong of the judgment from the tribunal and appeal Court in favor of the rightful owner or winner of the gubernatorial election.

According to one of the role of the independence of the Judiciary, "The judiciary shall decide matters before them impartially, on the basis of facts and in accordance with the law, without any restrictions, improper influences, inducements, pressures, threats or interferences, direct or indirect, from any quarter or for any reason". On this ground, we call on the supreme Court judges to resist any form of directives from the ruling government under APC that will subvert the will of the people or r**e of our democracy as we are fully aware of the undemocratic leadership of President Bola Amhed Tinubu and the APC.

Before now, Judiciary has been the hope of Common Man, and for we to rebuild such hope among Nigerians, we must be ready to rewrite the wrong for transparency and accountability.

*Independence of the judiciary;*
(1) The independence of the judiciary shall be guaranteed by the State and enshrined in the Constitution or the law of the country. It is the duty of all governmental and other institutions to respect and observe the independence of the judiciary.

(2) The judiciary shall decide matters before them impartially, on the basis of facts and in accordance with the law, without any restrictions, improper influences, inducements, pressures, threats or interferences, direct or indirect, from any quarter or for any reason.

(3) The judiciary shall have jurisdiction over all issues of a judicial nature and shall have exclusive authority to decide whether an issue submitted for its decision is within its competence as defined by law.

(4) There shall not be any inappropriate or unwarranted interference with the judicial process, nor shall judicial decisions by the courts be subject to revision. This principle is without prejudice to judicial review or to mitigation or commutation by competent authorities of sentences imposed by the judiciary, in accordance with the law.

(5) Everyone shall have the right to be tried by ordinary courts or tribunals using established legal procedures. Tribunals that do not use the duly established procedures of the legal process shall not be created to displace the jurisdiction belonging to the ordinary courts or judicial tribunals.

(6) The principle of the independence of the judiciary entitles and requires the judiciary to ensure that judicial proceedings are conducted fairly and that the rights of the parties are respected.

(7) It is the duty of each Member State to provide adequate resources to enable the judiciary to properly perform its functions.

On the above ground of the role of independence of the Judiciary, we are hoping again that justice will prevail over the wrong as the PDP gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo and Mr osarodion ogie Esq have filed and presented all the relevant documentary evidence before the apex court which was for hearing today and judgment reserved to later date that will be communicated to both parties.

We urge all PDP members and well meaning Nigerians to keep praying for the recovery of our stolen mandate as to strengthen our democracy, accountability, integrity and dignity in our Judiciary system.

Hopefully, the Supreme Court is yet to rewrite the wrong of the tribunal and appeal Court judgment for the betterment of all and Sundry.

The event which kick started at Eghosa Orphanages Home, Gapiona Avenue, G.R.A Benin City. Witnessed Dignitaries from all walks of life. Former Deputy Governor His Excellency Mike Ogiadomhe, Hon. Bankole Balogun(Chairman Edo State Board of Internal Revenue), Hon Moses Omo Ikiroda, Pastors Osagie Ize-iyamu, Hon Blessing Agbebaku, Speaker EDHA Clergymen as well as Numerous faith based bodies joined the celebrants to mark his birthday with the orphans.

Deacon Presley Asemota, went down memory lane to eulogise the celebrant, he describe Hon Pascal ugbome as a selfless being who love seen others succeed. a blessing to Mankind.

On her part, Deacon(Mrs) Odia describe Hon Ugbome as a born helper Who has trained several orphans up to the University level. A Compassionate and a willing tools for the work of God.
