In a world where competition and comparison run rampant, it can be tempting to ride on the shortcomings of others to gain relevance.
Whether it's in the workplace, social circles, or even online, it's all too easy to fall into the trap of tearing others down in order to lift ourselves up.
However, this type of behaviour is not only harmful to those we are targeting, but it ultimately reflects poorly on ourselves as well.
When we resort to highlighting the flaws and mistakes of others in order to make ourselves look better, we are showing a lack of empathy, respect, and integrity.
Instead of focusing on the weaknesses of others, we should strive to build others up and support them in their endeavors.
By offering a helping hand or a kind word, we can create a more positive and uplifting environment for everyone involved.
Furthermore, it is important to remember that we all have our own flaws and imperfections.
No one is perfect, and we all make mistakes from time to time.
Rather than using these mistakes against each other, we should strive to learn from them and grow as individuals.
By and large, riding on the shortcomings of others to gain relevance may bring temporary satisfaction, but it will only lead to a toxic and negative cycle.
Instead, let us focus on lifting each other up and striving to be the best versions of ourselves.
By doing so, we can create a more compassionate and supportive community for all.
