UNIVERSITY OF BENIN 2026/2027 POST-UTME & POST-DE ADMISSION SCREENING NOTICE
The application portal for the University of Benin Post-UTME and Post-Direct Entry screening for the 2026/2027 academic session will be open from 8:00 AM on Friday, 5th June 2026, to 11:59 PM on Friday, 3rd July 2026.
Eligibility / Requirements
1. UTME Candidates: Must have scored a minimum of 200 in the 2026 JAMB UTME and selected the University of Benin as their first choice.
2. Direct Entry Candidates: Must have registered for the 2026 JAMB Direct Entry and chosen the University of Benin.
Important Information
1. Screening Format: The screening is a computer-based test conducted on-site at the University of Benin Main Campus, Ugbowo. It is not an online test.
2. Duration: 30–40 minutes per candidate.
3. Subjects: Questions will be drawn from candidates’ four UTME subjects, including Use of English.
4. Candidate Grouping: Candidates are grouped into four categories based on their course of study:
A. Medical / Life Sciences
Courses: Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Optometry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, etc.
Subjects: English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics
B. Engineering / Physical Sciences
Courses: All Engineering courses, Mathematics, Physics, Industrial Chemistry, etc.
Subjects: English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics
C. Arts / Law
Courses: Law, ISD, Mass Communication, Fine and Applied Arts, English and Literature, etc.
Subjects: English, Literature, CRS, Government
D. Management / Social Sciences
Courses: Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Political Science, Public Administration, etc.
Subjects: English, Mathematics, Economics, Government
