BENUE SECURITY ALERT

Intelligence Reports Warn of Armed Fulani Militia Movement Toward Benue State

TruthNigeria has received intelligence reports indicating a mass movement of armed Fulani Ethnic Militia (FEM) from Nasarawa State toward neighboring Benue State on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

TruthNigeria expects coordinated attacks on rural communities within 72 hours.

Approximately 85 armed Fulani terrorists, traveling on about 43 motorcycles, were sighted passing through Doma town in Doma County (Local Government Area) before moving through Ondoli and Rukubi communities in Nasarawa State.

The convoy was reportedly heading toward the riverine communities of Achepe, Olegokeme and Kwatan-Bala in the Ekye Development Area, from where they are believed to be planning to cross the River Benue into rural communities in Benue State.

In addition, large trucks and trailers have been transporting armed Fulani Militia from Nigeria's Northwest region and dropping them in forested areas along the Agatu–Apa, Adoka–Otukpo and Adoka–Naka roads.

The reported deployments are believed to be part of preparations for coordinated attacks.

Communities considered to be at heightened risk include the following rural areas in Agatu,:
Apa,
Ohimini,
Makurdi,
Otukpo,
Guma,
Gwer West
and Gwer East local government areas.

Additional intelligence also indicates that more Fulani are expected to arrive in Nasarawa State later on TODAY.

Reports circulating online claim that Mr. Tempo Mudi, Protocol Officer to the Delta State Governor, was allegedly attacked and injured by some youths shortly after making unfavorable remarks during the Delta State APC leadership meeting at the PTI Conference Centre in Warri.

According to the reports flying around, the brutality allegedly followed his comments where he praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration as "the best thing to happen to Nigerians."

While we expect justice to take its place in the matter, we have to send a good will message to all, that this period is not the best time to engage in political demagogues that tends to destabilize the poor minds that have already been affected, the more.

8 days after her husband’s death, mom-of-two cries out for justice as in-laws a§§ault her, forcefully take over home and properties of her late husband

A 28-year-old widow, Tosin, has cried out for help after accusing her late husband’s family of a§§aulting her and attempting to take over his properties barely days after his d+ath.

According to posts shared online by activist Harrison Gwamnishu, Tosin’s husband d+ed on July 20, 2026, after falling sick.

He alleged that just days after the burial, her father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law and his wife moved into the family’s home in Ikorodu, Lagos, and ordered her and her two young sons to confine their belongings to a single room.

He further claimed that some of the deceased’s properties had already been shared amongst them while plans were underway to sell a car belonging to him.

A video circulating online also captured a heated confrontation between Tosin and her father-in-law. In the clip, the distressed widow repeatedly cried in Yoruba, “Ẹ̀ ń ní mí lára! Ẹ̀ ń ní mí lára!” meaning, “You all are stressing me! You all are oppressing me!”

Speaking in English while fighting back tears, she alleged, “They were not supposed to do anything to me! They started b+ating me. They are not even supposed to do anything to me, they are not supposed to touch me. I am weak, I am hungry, I am tired. That was how everything happened, he started béating me, dr@ghing my phone, and threw me on the floor. What if I h!t my head on the floor?”

Gwamnishu also shared a video where the widow’s father-in-law was seen padlocking the gate and locking her outside the house despite owning another residence. He further claimed Tosin had begun receiving thr+ats after taking the matter public.

He called on the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) and the Lagos State Police Command to intervene, stating that “No widow should have to fight for dignity, shelter, and justice just days after losing her husband.”
