A few days before Eid, our last born came to meet me and said,
“Sister Mi, please borrow me ₩2,000. I’ll return it after Sallah.”

I was just looking at this boy like 😳
This small 5+-year-old boy, talking like one big man with sure business plan.

Anyway, I gave him the ₩2,000. He was so confident that he would return it after Sallah.
Fast forward to today, Eid has come and gone, and guess what?
No ₩2,000, no update. đŸ˜©

Meanwhile, this boy went from house to house collecting owo odun (Sallah money gift).
Uncles, aunties, neighbors, everybody gave him something.
When we finally checked his money, it was ₩15,000!

Yes o, you read that right.
₩15,000 cash-out from Sallah gifts alone.
And here I am, still begging him for my own ₩2,000 that started the whole movement.

I confronted him this morning, and instead of paying me, he started giving me stories and calculations. The audacity!

So I went to report him to his parents, thinking they’ll back me up and scold him.

Guess what they said?

“Why can’t you just dash him the money? He’s a child now. Use it to encourage him.”
Encourage who?
The same boy that now counts ₩15,000 in front of me like he’s Dangote’s last born 😭

And the most painful part?
He acts like nothing happened—walking around like one silent millionaire, while I’m here wondering if I should break his piggy bank at midnight.

But I’m not giving up o.
Whether he hides it in his pocket, under his bed or inside that his piggy bank,
I must collect my ₩2,000.đŸ™…đŸœâ€â™€ïž

Ileya is around the corner, and our house is already jam-packed đŸ˜© Kids everywhere, noise from every corner.

My mum and the other women have all gone to the market to buy pepper and sirinrin
 and guess who they left the whole battalion of children with? Me. Just me.

My head is seriously pounding. I’ve been shouting while sweeping, washing plates, and settling fights.

These children have turned the house into a mini stadium. I’m trying to control about 12 of them at once 😭

At one point, I just called the eldest and told him, “Go and bring me the cane.” Because if I don’t act now, na me go fall sick before Ileya even starts.

Before their mothers start forming 'don’t touch my baby', let me do small correction.

I cannot come and k.ill myself because of children o 😭😂

Let me tell you something that many people won’t say out loud:
Life doesn’t wait.
It doesn’t slow down because you’re tired.
It doesn’t pause because you’re scared.
It doesn’t bend because you’re not ready.

Life is not designed to work in your favor just because you wish it to.
There’s no reset button. No shortcut. No special announcement when your moment comes.

You either get up, or you get left behind.

We live in a world that rewards action—not intentions, not dreams, not ideas—but action.
You can have the best ideas, the biggest goals, the purest heart


But if you’re not willing to move your feet, to take the hits, to rise when you fall—then you’re only existing, not living.

So stop waiting for the right time.
Stop waiting to feel ready.
Stop waiting for someone to come save you or give you permission.

Because life won’t wait.

You will fall—yes.
You will fail—probably.
But you must rise again.
And again.
And again.
That’s how you grow. That’s how you become the version of yourself that people will one day look up to.

You must be your own rescue team.
You must train your mind to believe, even when everything around you says “quit.”
Get up, not because it's easy

There are three stages of business you need to know as a business owner, and most of the business owners I know are only in the first stage.

They never make it to the second stage, let alone the third.

The first stage is when your business is like a baby, and you are the mother. Your business depends on you 100%.

You have to do everything yourself, and it can be quite exhausting. At this stage, some people even experience something similar to postpartum depression, just like new mothers do.

If you push through, you’ll reach the second stage, where your business can now stand on its own.

It has grown into a teenager who can handle most things independently, only needing your guidance once in a while.

At this stage, your business no longer depends on you entirely—it can function on its own, and you just check in occasionally.

The last stage is when your business becomes a fully responsible adult. At this point, your business takes care of you, just like grown children take care of their aging parents.

Unfortunately, most people never reach the second or third stage because they don’t surround themselves with the right people or they give up too soon.

So, which stage are you in? The first, second, or third?
