ATIKU COMMISSIONS ROAD NAMED AFTER HIM

Nigeria's former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has today commissioned a 4.4 kilometer Gombe Road - Ibrahim Bako, Tirwun - Maiduguri bypass named after him.

Commissioning the road constructed by Governor Bala, Abubakar expressed satisfaction with the numerous projects embarked by the Bauchi PDP-led administration which have economic impact on lives of the people of the state.

He expressed satisfaction by the infrastructural development of Governor Bala in other sectors of education, health, agriculture and empowerment adding that the projects are key to development.

He commended the governor for initiating empowerment programme to tackle unemployment in the state which according to him will go a long way in curbing the menaces of indolence.

He appreciated members of the Bauchi State House of Assembly for their support and understanding with the administration of Governor Bala despite party differences.

Wazirin Adamawa therefore called on the APC Governors in the country to emulate their PDP counterparts in the delivery of dividends of democracy for a better Nigeria.

On his part, Bauchi State Governor,His Excellency, Senator Bala Mohammed said the road named after the former VP is in recognition of his immense contributions to the progress and development of the country.

He said within the last two and a half years, his administration has completed about projects over 30 roads in urban and rural areas of the state.

The Governor said his administration is committed to changing the old narrative of the state by providing, improving as well as increasing access roads and other basic amenities in both urban and rural areas to enhance the socio-economic development of the state.

BASG/ALMUHIBBA PARTNER TO TRAIN WORKERS, STUDENTS ON ICT

Bauchi State Governor, His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has disclosed his administration's readiness to partner with Almuhibba Institute of ICT and Enterprenueship to train workers and students on the uses of ICT for economic development of Bauchi State.

The Governor was speaking during the Grand opening ceremony of the institution held in Abuja, the Nation's Capital.

According to Governor Bala BASG under the Kaura Economic Empowerment Program (KEEP) trained and empowered thousands of youth and women on skills hence the need to maintain the status quo through the use of ICT.

He thanked the proprietor of Muhibba who doubles as his wife, the First Lady of Bauchi State Hajiya (Dr) Aisha Bala Muhammad for her humanitarian services to Bauchi State and Nigeria as whole.

Governor Bala while appreciating supports from developmental partners and donors thanked the University of Maiduguri and Kaduna Polytechnic for the affiliation with the institute.

Earlier speaking, the founder, Almuhibba Institute of ICT and Enterprenueship, Bauchi State First Lady Hajiya (Dr) Aisha Bala Muhammad said the institution was established with a view to easing ways of training youths and women, teaching of vocational education as well as creating business opportunities calling on public and private sector for partnership.

Dr Aisha thanked Governor Bala Mohammed for his contributions toward actualization the gesture which according to her will go a long way in curbing poverty and indolence among youths.

Almuhibba Institute of ICT and Enterprenueship affiliated to University of Maiduguri and Kaduna Polytechnic awards PGDE on Accounting, Human Relations, Business Administration.

Other courses include degree and Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public and Finance.

Former Ministers, Speaker, BAHA, his Deputy, Rector Kadpoly among others were present during the historical event.
