Kano Pillars Embarks on Major Restructuring, Opens Applications for Key Technical and Support Roles
By Nasiru Ibrahim
Kano Pillars Football Club has announced a sweeping restructuring of its technical and support departments as part of efforts to strengthen the club's operational framework and align its management practices with modern football standards.
The decision was approved during a management meeting chaired by the club's General Manager, Ahmed Musa, and takes immediate effect.
According to the club, the exercise is aimed at improving efficiency, accountability, professionalism, and overall performance across all levels of the organization.
As part of the restructuring, all committees previously constituted by the club have been dissolved. The management stated that new committees and operational structures would be established in line with the club's evolving objectives and long-term vision.
The reorganization also affects the club's youth development structure, with all technical and support personnel attached to Junior Kano Pillars FC and the U-19 team relieved of their duties. The affected positions include head coaches, assistant coaches, goalkeepers' coaches, team managers, kits managers, nurses, masseurs and masseuses, curators, and media officers.
Similarly, several support staff attached to the senior team have also been disengaged. The positions affected include team manager, club doctor, nurse, cameraman, photographer, content creator, kits manager, curator, and masseur or masseuse.
In a move aimed at promoting transparency and merit-based appointments, Kano Pillars has invited qualified and experienced individuals to apply for the vacant positions. Interested candidates are required to submit their curriculum vitae and relevant credentials to the club's secretariat in Kano within one week of the announcement.
The restructuring marks one of the most significant administrative overhauls undertaken by the club in recent years and underscores the determination of the current management to build a stronger institutional foundation capable of sustaining long-term success.
Kano Pillars remains one of Nigeria's most successful and widely supported football clubs, and stakeholders will be keenly watching how the changes impact the team's performance and development structure in the coming seasons.
