Bauchi State Government Provides Relief To Windstorm Victims In Dass Lga

Following A Devastating Windstorm In Dass Local Government Area, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad Of Bauchi State Paid A Sympathy Visit To The Affected Areas And Pledged To Provide Relief Materials And N100 Million In Cash.
True To His Word, The Bauchi State Government Has Distributed A N200 Million Relief Package To The Victims.
The Relief Package Consists Of:
- Cash Support: N100 Million
- Building Materials: Worth Over N100 Million, Including Cement, Rafter Wood, Nails, And Roofing Zinc
The Distribution Was Carried Out Based On The Level Of Damage, With Affected Individuals Receiving Varying Amounts Of Support.
Some Victims Who Lost Cows Received Over N1 Million In Cash, While Those Whose Houses Were Damaged Received Materials And Cash, Including:
- 2 Bundles Of Roofing Zinc
- 2 Bags Of Cement
- Nails
- N300,000 Or N200,000 In Cash, Depending On The Extent Of The Damage
The Distribution Was Led By The Chairman Of Dass Lga, Muhammad Jibo, Who Assured That The Relief Materials Would Be Delivered According To The Directives Of Governor Muhammad.
The Director-general Of The State Emergency Management Agency (Sema), Alhaji Mas'ud Aliyu, Represented The Commissioner For Humanitarian And Disaster Management, Hon. Hajara Yakubu Wanka, During The Distribution.
The Bauchi State Government Has Reaffirmed Its Commitment To Disaster Preparedness And Response, Pledging To Work With Federal And Humanitarian Agencies To Prevent Future Occurrences.
Governor Muhammad Also Directed The Local Government Council To Plant Shelter Belts In Vulnerable Areas To Mitigate The Impact Of Future Windstorms.
